3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ruyehara88 (49) - Kunsan, SOUTH KOREA - FEB 1, 2010
This is a decent but not great IPA. It hits everything you want of an IPA but there’s no ’oomph’ to it that would bring it to greatness. But to its credit, it takes all the classic parts of the IPA and balances them well and some might argue that is harder to do than the ’oomph’ IPAs.
First, floral hops. Spicy too. And hints of pine. Pours a pretty thick head. Medium thinness in the body. Sweet initial taste and then aftertaste of hop bitterness. Crisp with definite carbonation. Again, not bad.

Pours copper with nice hop notes on the nose. A firm showing of the fruit blend in with the nice malt flavors to round put a very nice and complex finish. One of the top beers from these guys.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 twindog (157) - Hampstead, Maryland, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of light carmel, earthiness, a hint of pine and some faint citrus notes. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of earthiness, bread and some light lemon with a lingering bitter finish.

Not too much to recommend this IPA, but not horrible either.
Aroma is citrus (grapefruit) with some spruce... slightly floral.
Pale gold color, but fairly clear... head is thin and dies quickly without much lacing to speak about.
Taste is some citrus but mostly bitter with a slightly unpleasant hoppiness... can’t quite place why.
Palate is thin with carbonation not being as lively as I would hope for this style. Finish is bitter and medium in length, but with a slight astringency that is not pleasing.
Definitely an IPA, but one you can pass on aside from rating it.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 curly (2201) - Seattle (Newcastle), Washington, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Hey I’m the 1000th rating on this mediocre IPA, cool. Clear gold, thin white head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Taste is a bit thin on the malt and a lot of bitter, almost metallic hop. Thin body, medium carbonation.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Oddefellowe (305) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 19, 2010
Lighter gold than most of the IPAs I’ve consumed, white head, spotty lacing. The cascade hops are a little vocal up front, but everything slowly mellows out.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mike67 (407) - , New Jersey, USA - JAN 18, 2010
On Tap in the bar. Copper color, no carbonation. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus hops and biscuit malt.
Medium body, very sharp. Spicy hops and grapefruit dominate the mouth with biscuit malt in the background. Long bitter finish. Nice, easy drinking IPA.
