Bottle. Clear golden with tight white head. Aroma is floral with grain, grass, and citrus. Flavors of grapefruit, lemon, biscuit, and grass. Thin body for an IPA and a little watery toward the back. Slightly soapy. Ok.

pours a bubbly orange-yellow with a fluffy, quickly dissipating white head. nose is a heavy mix of pine needles, resin, and grapefruit. a little metallic. flavor is caramel, bready, citrus. after is bitter: piney, citrusy, and tonic/quinine flavors. long finish, slightly astringent. aside from the metallic notes, it’s a pretty good IPA, although not my favorite.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2009 Pours a clear pale gold. small head with some lacing. Aroma is pleasant but weak. Flavor is very light for an IPA and consists of hops and some light citrus. Finishes nicer than it starts with a moderate but pleasant hoppy aftertaste. An all right IPA but I’ve had regular pale ales and APAs that put this to shame.
Re-rate: Feelings unchanged except for the discovery that the experience of this beer is drastically increased by pairing it with some sharp cheddar.

clear copper pour with a frothy white head. Aromas of faint citrus and some floral notes waft upwards. This IPA starts out with a nice, faintly bitter, crisp citrus hit of flavor. However it quickly devolves and the finish is sort of a sweet, flat mess. Blah

On tap at the CBS Scene at Patriot Place in Foxboro, MA. Pours a clear, deep orange-gold body with a finger-width, creamy, white head that dissipates slowly with a nice retention. Aroma is a lightly sweetened caramel and a decent amount of clean hops with some grassy fruits. Very basic, but nice. Flavor is also straightforward. Light caramels, some citric fruit, and a moderate grassy bitterness. Light, crisp, and dry with a nice aftertaste. Overall, there really is nothing to complain about here. Its very simple and basic, but tasty and well made for sessioning.

A golden IPA with a thick receeding white head. In aroma, a nice floral hops, pinous, and classy. In mouth, a rather crisp and British rendition, with biscuitty malts, good floral hops, not overpowering. A nice entry level IPA. On tap at Harpoon Tap House, Logan Airport, Nov. 11 2009.
