I’ve had this beer both on tap and in the bottle, and I’m not convinced it tastes any better on tap. I actually prefer it from a bottle, oddly...on tap, it is smoother and the bitterness is de-emphasized, which makes me wonder about consistency. Anyway, this IPA doesn’t have the strongest aroma and is only moderately hoppy, and more malty. The malt was creamy and smooth, like most lagers, not particularly rich and complex. However, I really like the way the malt is lighter than most IPA’s (the typical bad micro-brewed IPA is far too heavy.) The flavor becomes increasingly bitter as you drink it, which I like. I really like the texture; there’s just the right amount of carbonation and the body feels neither too thin nor too heavy. Overall, I like it. It is outstandingly refreshing for an IPA, and although it is on the less bitter end of IPA’s, I still think this is a pretty good beer.

I found this at a pub in a small town in South Carolina, apparently it’s only available on the Atlantic coast. Sad for me, as I was on a business trip and live in the midwest, where it’s not available. Outstanding IPA, by far the best I’ve ever had. Nice citrus and floral taste and aroma. Perfect bar drink while snacking and playing darts.

This beer got me into IPA’s. It doesn’t stand up well to real craft beers, like Dogfish Head’s IPA’s, but ok to drink. Doesn’t have an especially strong flavor, but I like the aroma. Nice aftertaste, and easy to drink.

Aroma was week, but this had a decent balance of hops and malt, with a little spice in the flavor. Otherwise nothing remarkably good or bad.

Pours a hazy golden colr with a medium white head. Very floral hop nose. Flavor has a floral hop flavor along with a cardboardy maltness to it, similar to Anchor Christmas brews. It is a great flavor if you are used to tasting it and expecting it.

Poured from bottle...I love to take the first whiff when I take off the cap..I stick my nose right up to the opening..and what an aroma...At first very bitter smelling, but once it was poured in matched the flowers on teh label...very floral and spice aroma. Beautiful orange glow with excellant carbonationm the head is nice and white....doesn’t get lost right away. Wow, what flavors...citrus of grapefruit and orange...spicey...and bitter...nice layers. I really like this one.

12 oz bottle bought at a liquor store in Middleton CT. This was in the cooler but the cooler was turned off. After the manager asked me a few questions about my id i was actually able to purchase this. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose s of old hops carmel, citrus, floral. The grains are coming out a little in the flavors here. Otherwise floral lemon grapefruit citrus old faded hops. Hmm. This is losing a lot because of freshness. All IPA’s are best on tap and fresh. This one isn’t. You lose, but I won’t be terribly harsh.
