3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 MacAnUltaigh (45) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 20, 2008
From the bottle, standard deep gold color. Very floral as the label suggests. The hop aroma was terrific, and I picked up licorice and pine on the way down with not a whole lot of bitterness left on the tongue. The head tapered off halfway down the glass. Nice IPA for those who haven’t had an IPA yet.

Gold with a white head. Malt aroma with pine and citrus. Taste is citric with underlying toffee and a sharp hoppy finish. Easy drinking, full of character. Good.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 speedywinger (28) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 17, 2008
Bottle from grocery store in Vermont. Hazy copper color with average white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is moderately hoppy with floral, citrus(grapefruit), and caramel notes. Flavor is crisp hoppy with floral and caramel notes and a lingering bitter finish. Refreshing beer. Extra points for label that reads "Love Beer Love Life".

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 bag (105) - Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 13, 2008
From bottle... poured cloudy orange with some sediment. Aroma was a light citrus. Flavor was very underwhelming... watery and weak. Smooth but no bite. Disappointing for an IPA, but still decent enough to enjoy.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ChainGangGuy (3837) - Canton, Georgia, USA - APR 13, 2008
Appearance: Pours a clear, coppery body with a full, white head. Splotchy lacing on the way down.
Smell: Aroma of lightly toasted malt and fresh-cut flowers with a far-off note of sliced grapefruit.
Taste: Pale malts, a hint of toast, a touch of sweetness. Medium ’pop’ of cleansing hop bitterness. Flavors of flowers and citric grapefruit. Crisp finish with a light, lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A standard, basic India Pale Ale, but quite easily drinkable.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 changeup45 (1371) - Mount Dora, Florida, USA - APR 11, 2008
UPDATED: APR 25, 2012 Re-rate 4/25/2012. Had this on tap recently at two different spots in MA. It’s a pretty solid beer but I found it a bit grainy and musty with the hops not as sharp as I’d like. Drinkable but underwhelming. Original Rating: Poured a nice golden color topped with a pretty thick white head which laced well. Sweet hoppy flavor with a soft bitterness. Slightly fruity and herbal. Well balanced with some slick toffee malt. Nice and refreshing. I’d certainly get this one again but it could use a little more of a hop kick.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 biggmike (480) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - APR 10, 2008
Poured an attractive golden/amber color with a nice pillowy white head that lasted until the very last sip. Nice lacing also. Aroma was a mix of malt and light floral hops. Taste was a very nice balance of malt and hops. This is not the hop bomb that is characteristic of many American IPAs. This is nicely balanced and sessionable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 durhambeer (2102) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 7, 2008
This used to be one of the few IPAs readily available around here. Still solid... held up better than I expected. Grassy, a little resiny, and some light citrus notes. A lighter, thinner IPA, but definitely drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 RunDWP (203) - San Jose, California, USA - APR 1, 2008
On tap. Burnt orange color, small head. Reasonably good IPA, some hops flavor, slight grapefruity notes. Goes down pretty smooth. I like the fact that they don’t try to hit you over the head with a lot of hops. Easy drinking beer for an IPA. Goes well with food. I can understand why its popular.
