3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 12oz, at Haand Festival -14. It pours an almost clear body, golden in color and with a small, white head. The aroma is piney and citrus peel-ish, with some malts kicking in. Bitter flavor with piney, citrusy hops on a backdrop of pale malts. Full-bodied, soft and nicely carbonated, with bitter, citrusy finish. I prefer the even more hop forward west coast IPA’s, but this is a really fine one anyway. 140523

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy orange pour, little to no head. This smacks of grapefruit and grass, and bitter in a boring, flat sense. Nothing that stands out except for the especially fizzy sensations across my tongue. A very light, bitter feel with nothing to balance it out, this is not a beer I will be looking for in the future. The basic elements of an IPA are there, but leave a lot to be desired. It may be perfect to serve to those friends that think craft beers are too ’heavy’.

Sample at Haand 2014
Golden, filtered white head. Smell of dust, hints of citrus and herbs. Moderate sweet, quite clean, medium bitter finish joined by resins. Quite boring stuff

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to shaker. Pours golden/amber, quick head, decent lacing. Aroma is floral and pine. Taste is lightly bitter balanced nicely with the sweetness of the malt. Body is light for an IPA, medium carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter like a pale ale. Which is what this beer really is. Good beer but not an IPA.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can pour. Clean amber-copper. Active head. Nose of grassy hops. Earthy. Milled grain. Taste pulls in the grass with a predictable bitter result. Toasted malts. A slightly grainy mouthfeel. Decent, but lacks finesse.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice middle of the road IPA which pours medium orange and has a lovely fruity aroma. The hops are fine and balanced, this is a good drinking IPA. Bottle, haandbryggeriet ølfestival.
