The beer pours a nice amber/medium golden color; crystal clear as a result of filtration. The nose brings the floral aroma of grapefruity Cascade hops. The palate gives strong indications that this is the English-style variant of IPA, as the hop and malt character are both restrained. Overall, a nice, if straightforward, example of English IPA. Warm yellow color with a whatever head on it. Definitely get the hops and malts on the nose and in the aroma but for the taste it’s definitely watered down. It’s fine but not great, not the IPA I would reach for if given a choice. Leighton (310), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2009 A rock-solid IPA here. Sampled it at a tasting while in college. Nice golden color with a medium head. Strong hops odor and flavor. A wonderful session beer. msante79 (858), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2009 12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pour clear golden orange with two finger white head. Aroma is citrus and pine along with hops. Flavor is watered down with faint hops, caramel malt, and very light citrus note. Finishes with light bitterness and a bit of metallic note. Mouthfeel is watery for style. Decent beer for a hot summer day but not what I am really looking for in an IPA. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

A faint Cascade hop aroma is followed by caramel/toffee malt and lightly citrusy, toothpaste-like flavors. Overall this beer is average at best; a mediocre IPA.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 17, 2009 Aroma of grapefruit is good but fairly generic. The malts are really lost in this and the finish, while bitter, left an off-must taste. Elwood (684), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 17, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep gold with a creamy, eggshell head. Pine hop nose with some honey and citrus thrown in. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Mild palate for an IPA, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. A little pine, floral notes, and hop spiciness on the palate. A good balance of malt and hops here. Medium finish with some lingering bitterness. Overall a very drinkable IPA. Not the most imaginative, but a good intro IPA. And it left great lacing all the way down the glass!
