12 oz bottle pours a cloudy orange/amber colore with a nice white head. Aromas of citrus, floral, with a nice malt balance. Not too hoppy, and nicely balanaced

In my opinion this I.P.A. is a very balanced IPA with nice floral notes. It is not too hoppy an something I could drink quite a few of. Overall a great "session" IPA

Well balanced IPA in the English style with a decent malt background and a burst of American Cascade hops. Reasonable color and aroma. Not the typical "hop bomb" IPA, but enough hops to still be a reasonable example of the style. Of the IPAs I’ve had (Many of which aren’t rated on the site yet), this is in middle to upper middle as far as overall taste profile. Probably the best of the Harpoon summer mix pack (Granted, there are some weak beers in that pack, but this is pretty good).

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2011 Pours a bubbly light yellow, with a quickly fading head. The aroma was light, but sweet with a little zesty touch to it. Tasted great, the hops were crisp and bitter, while the malts were a complimentary sweetness to the palate. Not anywhere near as strong as most IPA’s but very refreshing and pleasant to drink.

Ausgeprägter IPA Geruch. Sehr dumpf, nicht so aromatisch wie der Geruch, echt schade. Schmeckt wie ein durchschnittliches IPA mit Wasser gepantscht. Ich habe gesprochen.

Bottle from the random cooler at a party. Thanks, Tony! I’d not had this one in many years, and it was slightly better than I remembered. Bright, faintly cloudy orange body with a moderate head and decent lacing. Super sweet in the nose, but the tastes are more balanced than this suggests with an understated malt base and nice dry flavors to balance out the bubblegum and florals. Not bad.

Pour is a nice clear amber color with a nice size white head with some decent retention and decent lacing. Nose is of floral hops with some light fruit notes. Taste is hops and all hops with some light floral notes.

Well, I had this one before, so I knew what I was getting. I wasn’t impressed with it 5 years ago, so I wanted to try another bottle to rate it properly. And, this hasn’t changed. I don’t think Harpoon makes very good quality beers. This one is no different. No hoppy aroma or taste. It does however have a hoppy finish. Not a good IPA.
