12 oz. bottle. Aroma is citrus and piney. Light copper color, slightly cloudy, with small off-white head that didn’t last too long. Taste starts sweet, turns to a good, clean bitter, and finishes with floral notes. Somewhat bitter aftertaste. Medium body with just about the right carbonation. Overall, a good, solid IPA.

Appearance: hazy pale gold with one finger of ivory head, good retention and patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: floral, bready malt, grassy, pine, hint of citrus. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate-low carbonation, off-dry finish. (3/5) Definitely a more English-style IPA, with the hops, any least on the tongue, being less well-defined and sharp than the typical American versions. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not in ESB territory or anything, and there’s a little bit of stone and tropical fruit coming out as it warms, but it’s definitely a milder implementation. Not unpleasant by any means, and I don’t think being a week after the best-by date hurt this too much. (13/20)

Bottle. Mild aroma: grainy malt, floral hops. The hops are more apparent in as firm bitterness than as a prominent flavor component. Strong sweet maltiness puts this solidly in the East coast-style IPA territory. Really nice creaminess to the body, with gentle CO2 to match. Maybe closer to today’s pale ales than our IPAs, but still: drinkable.

Very clear light amber with generous soapy head. Whiffs of grass, biscuit, some pine. Super sweet taste with hints of pine, medicinal, and fruit candy (like starburst). Has a nice medium body that’s a little creamy with an abrupt finish. What does linger is an unpleasant sugary aftertaste.

This beer looks prettier than it tastes or smells. It’s a nice mild color, and its scent isn’t too piney, but it lingers and when you actually sip it, it tastes like you’re drinking something made from pinecones.

On the lower end of the average scale but still respectable. Good little gateway IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hmm not a bad IPA, just a bit on the lighter side. Pours a relatively more pale copper orange color, some weak but presentable lacing and foam. Aroma is quite appetizing, rich maltiness and grapefruit and resin hops. Taste is the same, lots of bready malt and grapefruit hops, moderately bitter. Balanced but not subtle. Palate is thin and doesn't stick in the finish, which could be a plus for casual sessioning. A little bit of sweet fruit in the aftertaste too, fresh and summery. Not too sophisticated but pleasant overall.

12 ounce bottle porous a very clear orange copper color with off-white head that lasts nicely and some nice lacing on the glass. Citrus pine and mango aroma's. Light bodied high in carbonation. Nice amount of bitterness on the backend. Good IPA.
