Solid IPA that features nice flavor without a lot of bite. Well balanced and easy to drink as session IPA. This is a good IPA to serve to somebody who might usually shy away from really bitter IPA’s, but would still enjoy the hoppy flavor.

Pours a light orange color, very little head. Floral scents in the smell. The taste is watery and very thin. Decent lawn mower beer.

Very weak light copper with diminishing head. Scent of alcohol over the hops. Not very smooth. Not my favorite IPA.

This is pretty much the only legit IPA to be found on tap in Rochester. Pours a nice golden copper with a thick head. Very hoppy in both aroma and flavor. The only fault I could find with this one is the light bodied character. A well-rounded beer.

Clear amber color. Floral piney hop on the aroma. Biscuity sweetness is tempered with a persistent floral hop flavor. Finishes with dry crisp bitter finish.

This beer poured into the glass a gold color. The head was foamy white head that left fairly fast but the skim that it left was able to leave some lace. The aroma was of citrus, hops and citrus hops. The taste was not too heavy on the hops but they were present, but they shared it with the citrus. Some malt seemed to be present at the back of the taste but it faded quick. Pretty good for this style. I think it would be a good starter for a beginning IPA drinker

I had to give it an 8 for overall, otherwise it would have rated 3.6. It’s a good beer but too belgium tasting for an IPA. I probably would not pick this one again, unless the other choice was the ubiquitous Redhook IPA.

tinydancer (52) - Gibsonville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 22, 2005
Clear yellow, much like a pills. Very thin head. Aroma is of light hops. Palate is a little fizzy and thin. Flavor reminds me of a Samuels Smith’s india ale a little. I’m a little dissappointed with this beer. There a lot of good IPAs out there, but theis ain’t one. This IPA taktes a little watery, has a matalic bitter taste and finishes quick with a light aftertaste. Just not that muich here
