This is good stuff. Iíve begun to like Indian Pale Aleís, and this is as good as any other. One of Harpoonís better brews.

Pours orange/brass. Has an incredible hoppy taste that adds to the various spices that are in the aroma. When I opened the bottle the entire room smelled like hops.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2007 Bottle, from mug. Bottled Oct í06, sampled Jan í07. Frothy white head, decent lacing, pale amber body. Strong apricot aroma, very fruity and floral. Medium-full with an oily texture. Flavor is all hops, which is fine by me. Finishes bitter and fairly long. The hops and alcohol produce a beautiful earthy vapor in the sinuses. A solid American IPA.

From a 12 oz bottle. Poured gold with a medium white head. Smell was strongly of earth and a little bit of hops. For an IPA, there wasnít much hop character to it, but it was still pretty solid. Iíd probably buy it again if I had the chance.

I drank this one about a week ago (probably the third time I had it) and I donít ever wait this long before reviewing a beer, but I donít care to buy it again, so please forgive me my lack of details. This is just a very weak and watery IPA. There is a slight hop presence and nothing more. I can name a few pilsners off the top of my head with a more pronounced hop flavor. Itís not a terrible beer, but not good enough even to recommend to an amateur IPA drinker. Itís so thin it might just turn them off of the style.

This beer pours a light gold color with a moderate head and a little lacing on the glass. The aroma has some fruits in it and some spices as well. The taste was fairly smooth, but not very hoppy. The carbonation is evident in the flavor. Decent beer.

Pours a gold hue with asmall one finger white head. Aroma of tropical fruit and pine. Tastes of tropical fruit, peaches, and light hops. Very refreshing.

I really like this IPA! I had heard some great stuff about Harpoon IPA and it truly lived up to the hype.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2004 Nice orange/amber color with a small white head, leaves good lacing. Hoppy and moderately spicy aroma. Flavor has some fruity and spicy notes; the palate is slightly thin. Finish is bitter, but not overwhelmingly so.

Iím a real fan of IPAís and before i tried this iíd already been warned that this was way mild! This ale pours a very light copper color with a small head that quickly faded. On the nose there was hops but very mild. It reminds me of a weak pale ale with no character. If you like a hoppy beer donít bother with this. This is like Playskool my first IPA! Donít bother!
