Both glass and bottle. This is my favorite, despite the other highly rated IPA's on this site, which don't hold a candle to this one IMHO. Appearance is a honey color, with a grainy, thin head. The aroma is hoppy, citrusy. But the flavor is really where this IPA shines. The taste is clean, biting, and has an exhilerating hop finish with bright, flower and citrus undertones. There is a distinct malt body mouthfeel - overall, a dense, sharp and carbonated impression. Implied spice flavors add complexity. The knifelike zing of this IPA may be too much for those who haven't spent a bitter winter evening in Boston. The least watery finish of any beer I've had, and not astringent at all. I can close my eyes and taste this beer, that's how good it is. Cheers

Wow. This one surprised me. Given the rating (3.23 at present), I almost don't order it. But I'm glad I did - this is an awesome IPA! This was bottled poured. Small but present head. Decent lacing. Color is hard to say given the lighting. But the flavor is great. Reminds me of a an American pale ale (viz. Sierra Nevada). Not as hoppy as many IPAs but still hoppy - great for me. I'm now a huge fan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I am rating this brew by memory due to the fact that I cannot get it here in Texas. The last time I was in Mass. I brought a case of it back home with me on the airplane. One of my favorite beers.

Fruity without a harsh bitter aftertaste. Nice hoppiness (dry hopped), without too many IBU’s.

In my opinion this I.P.A. is a very balanced IPA with nice floral notes. It is not too hoppy an something I could drink quite a few of. Overall a great "session" IPA

I was really impressed when I first tasted this beer. An interesting mix of hops provides a nicely bitter and somewhat floral aroma and flavor.

I really like this IPA! I had heard some great stuff about Harpoon IPA and it truly lived up to the hype.

Bottle. Very nice color with moderate head and dark yellow color. Aroma was great with strong hints of hops (citrius) and some grains. Overall one of the better IPA’s I have had and looking forward to trying it on tap soon.
