Nice clean, biting IPA. Such a great amount of bitter with a clean finish. Can't get enough of this stuff.

One of my absolute favorite beers. I love IPA's and this is beer doesn't disappoint. The perfect amount of bitterness mixed with a nice crisp after taste. When i sit down with nice, fresh pizza, there is no beer I would rather have.

Just one of my absolute favorites. Lots of flavor and a wonderful aftertaste. It is not to often I get to have this. My friend brought some back from New Hampshire... Awesome.

Amber body with a little under a half an inch of off-white head. Smells great - like citrus and bitter hops, strong but not overpowering, and no off scents or alcohol. Tastes hoppy - bitter, piney, and citrus, ballanced with a good malt backbone. Creamy mouth-feel on the higher side of medium bodied, but not sticky and syrupy as some IPAs can be. At the same time, it’s very pleasant and drinkable. This beer is really good. A new favorite!

Bottle. Very nice color with moderate head and dark yellow color. Aroma was great with strong hints of hops (citrius) and some grains. Overall one of the better IPA’s I have had and looking forward to trying it on tap soon.

Wonderful beer. This isn’t a hop bomb and it isn’t trying to be. It is an easy drinking, high quality IPA. Literally nothing bad to say about Harpoon. Tastes great and you can drink a ton without even realizing it. Nice hop aroma and bitter taste. Perfect example of an IPA. Cheers!

If you score beer on drinkability, this is my favorite beer. I probalby have 4 pints of this a week at various bars around Boston. If I’m not at a "beer bar" this is my standard drink.

This is a good IPA with a lot of hop flavor without being over powering. It's crisp with a smooth finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A great IPA. Probably the best standard IPA out there. You’ll have a hard time finding anything as solid, dependable, and enjoyable without tapping into specialty brews and true microbrews. Punches well above its weight class in terms of price.

Served at Redbone’s in Somerville, MA as "Dryhopped Harpoon IPA with Charlie’s Homegrown Fuggles" Golden color and mildly cloudy. Great lace left by a modest head. Smells like a high-hopped homebrew, meaning I can detect some spent yeast, lighter malt and fresh floral hop. Very nicely balanced for the style. Served appropriately warm, approximately 50 degrees (cask conditioned). Again the blend is very pleasant -- the hop is more mild than most IPA’s but it is pronounced. This continues through the swallow and aftertaste. The body is full with an expected lighter carbonation level.

look: 4 smell: 3.5 taste: 4 feel: 4 overall: 4.5 To start, I must admit having a soft spot for this beer. When it was first introduced, it was the best IPA I had up to that point. Throughout New England, this is my favorite regularly available beer. That said, it is not my favorite IPA any longer, but it is worthy of this review. A-color is honey to light amber. Has a two-finger head that leaves clumpy lace on the glass. S-Floral hop bouquet, although this muted from some of the "big" IPA’s now available. This bottle had a slight refridgerator smell. T/M-Nice bitter flavors with a moderate body and an above average carbonation. Fairly smooth in terms of mouthfeel. The aftertaste is largely bittering hop. D-I find this to be the quintessential drinking IPA. It’s not too pronounced in any of the areas that some IPA’s are prone to. A consistent performer.
