LilBeerDoctor (300), East Setauket, New York, USA May 1, 2008 On tap at the Colgate Inn. Pours a light golden brown with a small white head. Aroma of floral hops. Initial flavor of bitter hops, followed by wheat and a sweet malt. For an IPA, it wasn’t very hoppy (and this was super fresh), but for a beer, it was quite tasty. Very drinkable, just don’t expect a hop-bomb.
fredandboboflo (306), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Aroma citrusy and fruity, playful. Flavor only mildly bitter, bordering between IPA and APA, a touch more of the caramelly malt than in a typical APA. Not bad, but not impressive. Hank1980 (327), Athens, Georgia, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Poured clear gold with an average head and lacing. Aroma of grass hops and light malt. Taste is similar, and a little simple. Finish is lightly bitter and not overly hoppy. Mouth is medium bodied and not very carbonated. An average IPA. KimJohansen (2460), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 20, 2008 Clear golden with medium white head. Hoppy aroma with citric and caramel notes. Hoppy and fruity flavor with fruity and caramel notes. Ends bitter. oteyj (270), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Jul 19, 2008 Pours golden with nicely sized head. Aroma of floral and grassy hops. Flavor is quite well balanced, but the hop character wasn’t nearly as hard hitting as I was hoping for. A bit mild actually. Flavorful, well balanced, and quite drinkable however, this makes a great summer brew. bennylava (48), California, USA Jul 18, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours yellow color, typical pale alt with decent head. I found this more malty than hoppy. I found it to very bland for an IPA.
