BCTC. Hazy golden with head. GRassy hay spicy aroma. Tart peach sweet and complex spiciness. Soft nice mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Odd and nice surprise from Harpoon. Aroma has some lemony sourness and caraway and earthiness. Flavor is smooth and citrus sour with grain and rye.

BCTC2009. Caraway Saison! Well it sounded good- it wasn’t. Pours a pale golden with a fizzing white head- diminishing. Aroma is sharp astringent, green and grassy, chlorophyll and a sharp zesty caraway that is almost too sharp and solvent like with hot peppers and toothpaste mint. Flavor is lightly tart and gets minty almost to the point of being medicinal - some off harsh caraway, rye- like earthy spices, and more astringent solvent stuff going on. A bit harsh and hard to drink. Meh.

A very translucent yellow gold saison with a thin white head. A rather interesting aroma of caraway rye bread, very pungeant. In mouth, too much caraway to make it palatable, like eating pickles or pumpernickel bread. Medium bodied. Tap at BCTC 2009

Pouring at their booth towards the end of BCTC. Pours a milky light golden amber with a medium large white head. Sweet musky aromas with some coriander notes. Nice mouthfeel. Tangy. Light crisp bitterness. Lemony.

Tap at BCTC 2009: Hazy golden with a dense white head. Bretty, lemony spicy phenol aroma- nice. Crisp body with an interesting flavor. Some crisp wheaty character giving off some mild lemon and the caraway seeds give a rye bread crust note. Residual lemon freshness in the finish An interesting Saison, well done.

[BCTC 09] Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruit, white pepper, spices, vanilla, honey, and wild yeast. Taste of honey, citrus fruits, coriander, light grains of paradise, with faint green apple, and a lightly sour finish.

on tap @ BCTC 2009. A caraway saison. Deeper golden colored pour. Herbal spiciness in a great nose. Taste was strange. came across mustard seed, rye, caraway seeds, tart sourness, a beef on weck beer?? Strange but interesting

Tap @ BCTC. I was a bit upset, there wasn’t any donkey flavor in this at all. However, this might be the coolest beer Harpoon ever made. It was a thick golden color, looked nice. This beer was made with some cool herb, not sure what that was but either way it was cool. It added a great herbal character to it yet the beer was still vibrant with crisp herbal hops. I did not get anything sour or bretty but a good Saison in all aspects. Quenching and full of character, dry enough as well.
