4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at rattle & hum. Ruby with a thin off-white head. Nose is interesting, spicy, coriander, malt. Mouth is warm, dusty, warm, sweetness, but red wine characteristics and oak comes through the more the flavour progresses. This beer has benefited being laid down. End is vanilla, red wine, enjoyable, good.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
on draft poured out amber with little head and carbonation...the aroma of warm alcohol and dark fruit very prominent...the sweet malt and dark fruit flavor followed by the warmth of the alcohol burn results in a very nice beer..aging? anything is possible.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours orangey/red with a foamy 1-finger light beige head. Aromas of citrus peel, slight juniper, caramel, and berry. The flavor is orangepeel, pine, and alcohol-soaked cherries. The aftertaste is cherry with bitter grass. Thick, full-bodied mouthfeel, and warming, with evident alcohol. Alright, but Triticus was better.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Didn’t seem very creative, more like an imperial ipa on steroids. Boozy, deep amber, some sweet dark fruit, mostly boost.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful reddish copper color. Creamy head as well. Fruity alcohol aromas. Ripe bananas and apples. Clean fruity flavor with some ripe banana notes and alcohol esters as well. Overall, this is fairly drinkable, or the 10% ABV is becoming normal to me so it’s not as noticeable. You know what... buy it and drink it. Thank me later...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a red orange with bright orange highlights and a small white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, raw dough, cough medicine, soap, floral hops and a slight pine background. Tastes pretty similar with a mix of caramel toffee, earthy bitterness, slight white chocolate, soapy hops and medicine. Finishes with an "American" amount of bitterness. With an earthy and soapy aftertaste. This could be a decent beer, but the hops come off so damn chemically it’s distracting! Medium bodied for the style, heavy otherwise, with an over-filtered texture. At least it’s a good price.

Sweet like a pear! Got this on draught at maxs after a long day of bball, squash, and being target practice for a soccer match! Pours a orangey golden color. Tastes fairly sweet with a few bitter hops mixed in at the end. Smells like sugary sugar bush with some tree blossoms thrown in there.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. brown bottle. A reddish brown with a small head. The aroma is sweet, candy, fruity, and grains. Not a bad aroma. The taste is barley sweet, and some fruitiness. This seems to be a really straightforward basic barleywine. It does go down fairly smoothe for the alcohol content.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in a wine glass. The beer pours a deep copper/amber color, with a low just off-white head. The nose shows piney hop character, a slight note of alcohol, and a background raison malt note. The palate shows a medium-high to high English crystal malt sweetness up front, perhaps showing a bit of the sample’s age. Carbonation is beautifully calibrated. Alcohol is nicely hidden throughout the palate; impressive, given the content of the aforesaid of the beer. The finish leaves a lingering note of raisony malt sweetness, along with a very slight bitterness, and just a touch of alcohol. Overall, a really nice interpretation of the style, especially given the relatively tender age of the sample.
