12oz bottle from goldtwins, thanks Larry, shared with DuffManSW and mspindler. Dark amber/gold pour. Sweet spicy aroma. More sweetness, dark fruits, and some alcohol warmth in the end, pretty good.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to 17thfloor, thanks gerrit! Murky red with white head. Aroma is sweet plum, orange, citrus, in style. Flavor is alc, plum, citrus, raisin. Medium and creamy body. Alc is a little to present with too much banana and a little touch of apple juice as well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a heavily oxidized copper/brown with a slight cherry hue. Thin head only around the edges of the glass. Aroma is very sweet with some sourness brown sugar, plum, raisins, dark fruit and some caramel. Flavor is very sweet also. Notes of dark fruit raisins and fig, definitely caramel and brown sugar, and an apparent but not overly boozy alcohol flavor. The alcohol and the sweetness of the beer blend well.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (with thanks to goldtwins.) Pours a medium brown with a big beige head, lots of streams of carbonation and aromas of banana, bubble gum, cloves, plums and brown sugar. Flavor is a lot like a hodge-podge of the above, but it seems a bit unbalanced... ABV is fairly obvious, carbonation is a bit too much, and there is a little bit of a landfill like flavor or something, but it might just be the effect of jumbling so many other flavors together. This seems to go away a bit as it warms. Still, it is good enough.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours orange-brown with a medium sized cream colored head. Aroma is prune, plum, sweet fruit, and alcohol. Lot of dry fruit sweetness upfront, very full, with a spiced, alcoholic finish. Nice rich flavor, but finish is too sharp.

Bottle. Pours red brown with a beige head. Fruity spicy aroma, with banana, raisin, clove, and peppermint. The flavor is similar to the aroma, with banana, figs, and other fruits, clove like spice, and yeast. Very good.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2010 [Bottle rated 4.1.09] Pours a dull opaque reddish brown with a small but dense thick creamy beige froth. Very fruity aroma, quite spicy, lots of figs, a bit nutty and malty with notes of Belgian yeast. Flavor is a bit abrasive, hot, sweet, lots of figs, nutty, dark and red fruits, a bit perfumy. Sweet phenolic finish. Lingering boozy aftertaste. Medium full mouthful with medium sharp carbonation. Too sweet and boozy. 220.127.116.11.14 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [same vintage rated 1 year later, 6.2.10] Pours a beautiful clear glowing bright mahogany, a very beautiful red, small frothy fizzy tan head. Aroma is quite nutty now, fruit snacks, alcohol. Flavor of munich malt, nutty, still hot, aged very gracefully though, probably better now, rich and spicy but not nearly as sweet as before, just still hot and a bit boozy. Medium bodied, fizzy fluffy carbonation, clean feeling, maybe a touch chalky, viscous and drinkable with only a slight hint of syrupiness. I donít know, Iíll keep my original score. Reminds me of the Capital doppelbock. (some yeasties or protein, canít tell which, got kicked up as I emptied the bottle, more than likely protein as Iím getting a big malt flour taste now, and I know this isnít bottle conditioned, at least I donít think it is)
