2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Radek Kliber (5308) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), - AUG 7, 2009
On tap at The Ginger Man
Appearance: crystal clear golden base with healthy, contrasting white top, light carbonation. 4-. Nose: Mildly grainy with dry yet light alcohol burn , touch of fruit feel. Flavor/Palate : mid bodied with lighter sides. Malty but its character not as pronounced as in Bocks. Hops are just slight add on . Interesting to see Mocne in its pure from without extra hoping of west. Mild alcoholic dryness at finish. Kudos for being true.

On tap at harpoon brewery. Served in a pilsner glass. Half a finger clear head. SRM of 8. Orange appearance. Mild cloudiness. Lightly hopped. German malts and I'm getting lemon, walnuts and cheese.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Onenote81 (902) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 25, 2012
Originally reviewed: 1/21/10. Poured into a pilsner glass. Pours a lightly-hazed gold with a massive foamy white head on top. Lots of bubbles rising up. Great retention. Leaves some sticky lace. Scents of lemon zest, fresh-cut grass, and a mild soap afterscent.
The body is not as crisp as I would like. The alcohol level maybe smoothed this one more. For this style, I like a sharp crisp feel. Flavors of lemons, sourdough, and alcohol. The alcohol warms on the backend. Light resiny hops in there, but the bitterness is low in this beer. This was a pretty good beer, though I’m not so sure this is a style that needs to be "Imperial-ized."

Tasted in 2009. Bright hazy gold with a decent sized white head. Aroma is of floral, perfume, light hops, fruit and honey. Taste is of citrus, hops and grain.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 callmemickey (795) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 29, 2011
A: Golden yellow body. Thin cap with moderate lacing.
S: Bright floral hops dominate. Slightly grainy. Faint bready malts.
T: Disappointing after the promising nose. The floral hops were overwhelmed by the bready malts which rapidly escalated in prominence.
M: Slightly chewy. Nicely carbonated. Clean finish.
O: The bready characteristics impaired my overall enjoyment. Perhaps going for 9% was a bit too ambitious on the part of the brewers. (review from 2009)

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. The beer pours a light slightly couldy yellow with a white head. Nice lacing on the glass and lively carbonation. The aroma is floral and spicy with definite sweet malt notes. Taste is more malty than expected, like a malty DIPA. Also get notes of the spicy hops in the finish. Overall, this is a good ImpPils, but a little too malty for my taste. I would rather have had more hops. ABV is not noted to be as high as listed, well hidden.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Heathen (1242) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - APR 25, 2011
THOUGHTS: The bottle was a couple months past date, but it didn’t seem to mater. Very intense. Fairly European. Hid the alcohol very well. Very crisp and easy to drink for something this big.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a light to medium, golden, yellow with a large, off-white head that slowly diminished and kept a nice sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma was moderate, straw, cookie and pale malt; moderate to heavy floral and grassy hops; lighter perfumey hops; light honey and a hint of lemon. The initial flavor was moderately to rather sweet and slightly bitter; while the finish was rather sweet and rather to heavily bitter with a fairly long duration. There was pale malt, slight honey, straw, floral and grassy hops and slightly metallic hops; The medium body was very crisp. It was slightly syrupy and and then dry with fizzy carbonation and a lightly metallic finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ngeunit1 (823) - Mountain View, California, USA - APR 22, 2011
- Pours a bright slightly hazy golden-yellow color with a finger of white super frothy head. The head slowly fades to a thin ring around the glass leaving behind some lace spots.
S - Aroma is a mix of some pine hops and some grains. There is also a touch of citrus hanging out in the background.
T - Starts off with some citrus (orange peel) flavors and some light hops. There is also some grain that acts as a backbone. Through the middle some sweeter fruit flavors and some stronger hops come through. The finish is a bit sweet with a touch of bitterness and a bit of spices that linger nicely.
M - Medium bodied with moderate lively carbonation. Feels full of flavor but still not overly filling and still very crisp and refreshing.
D - Very drinkable. Very nice flavors and well balanced. The full flavors compared to many other pilsenrs, and it is very good.

Reviewed from notes. Thanks to Drew and Jen for the bottle.
Served in a tulip glass. Pours golden with a white head and a bit of lacing as the beer goes down. The nose is lightly hoppy with a floral character. A lot of malty grain and a bit of bread. The taste is malty, bready, and a bit spicy with a bit of booze. Feel is pretty crisp with nice carbonation. A good beer, but a bit too much.

Pours a bright yellow-gold with lively carbonation. Big aroma of pilsner malts and hops. Taste is malty sweet with a sharp bite in the middle. Finished with a mellow residual sweetness. Hides the alcohol very well.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ROGUE (1360) - Newark, Delaware, USA - FEB 24, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a bright clear yellow with a small tight white head. The aroma was fruity sweet and boozy with a touch of floralness in the back. Taste is of spicey hops up front lending in to a very bready, and muted yeast flavoring with a touch of grassiness and sweetness in the finish. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, slightly oily and somewhat dry finish.
