COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the ancient god of darkness, Leviathan Czernobog is a tribute to the hardy stouts originally brewed in England for shipment to the frigid Baltic. With notes of unsweetened chocolate, molasses, and dark fruit, this Russian Imperial Stout will withstand the darked of winters.

Pours dark black with a light brown head. Some creaminess, a nice flavor. A solid stout, felt a little thinner than some of the better imperial.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was cocoa, coffee, roasty malts and vanilla. The flavor was roasty and toasty with moderate coffee, cocoa and vanilla elements. Long finish of toasty malts, coffee, cocoa and vanilla. Turns a bit dry and woody at the very end. Thick and creamy body. Very nice.

12oz bottle shared by blankboy. black and oily, smallish light brown creamy head. Somewhat sweet deep roast aroma, alcohol, a bit of table cream, mint and herbal bitterness. Taste follows, a touch hot, nicely balanced though. Slick, low carbonation, quick oily alcoholic finish. Good.

TURDFERGUSON (3572) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Bottle from sam's i think. Dark brown/black with a sudsy tan head. Nice, understated nose, dry roast, bakers chocolate, light molasses, smells less like a imperial stout and more like a dry/semi-sweet stout. Flavor is similar, dark fruit, molasses, and bakers cocoa dominate. Alcohol super well hidden. Having this blind I would guess I couldn't be higher than 6% abv. A solid stout that ill give extra points for drinkability considering its high gravity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at pony bar with Andrew, Brendan and Feng. Pours a deep black body with no head and light chocolate brown lacing. Aroma is deep espresso and roast. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet chocolate malts, light roast. Very straight forward stout, very balanced and extremely drinkable considering the 10%.

Bottle. Pours a deep black with a thin to medium sized tan head. Big roast and cocoa, chocolate on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet roast, cocoa, a touch of alcohol peeks through. Warm and roasty, chocolate and cocoa. Pretty tasty.

NikkTwist (892) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 15, 2013
Draft at Khyber Pass. Opaque pour only hints at a dark orange brown up to a very strong light. Head reduces to a very tiny tan ring. Heady alcohol off the top. Juicy pitch black flavors. Coffee grounds. Kerosene infused charcoal. Earthy truffles. Cigarettes. Leather. Shoe polish. Alcohol centered dark chocolates. Shoo Fly pie. Dried berries. Vegemite. Black peppercorns. Bitter tingles on the tongue. Medium body. More juicy than creamy in terms of what one might expect for a billed Russian Imperial. Still quite dark and big.

Beerman6686 (3125) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 15, 2013
This poured a darker brown color with a lighter tan head. Aroma was of licorice, smoke, and dark burnt chocolate. Flavor was much the same, nicely smokey and a bit ashey, but not too offensive. Alcohol is hidden well too. Nice offering by Harpoon.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha conglomerate head froths and recedes leaving spider lacing. Dark chocolate and pit fruit aromas. Thin with smoky chocolate upfront turning to caramel and pit fruit before the lasting hot espresso finish.
