Pours a dark gold with a thick white head. Huge grapefruit, pine aroma with ouches of caramel malt. Nice and fresh, so the hops are just poppin. Nice smooth malt body with a little caramel and then just a blast of big grapefruit, citrus, pine hop bitterness, very floral and just soaked with hops. This is really good.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden copper body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, orange, grapefruit, and some pine. Flavor of caramel, toasted malt, and hops (floral, citrus) with a bitter finish.

I’ll agree with the most recent poster: grapefruit, citrus, pine dominant. The only drawback (and this is from drinking two bottles): carbonation is FLAT. Taste is awesome, but not what I expected, even with a good bit of experience with the style.

The beautiful cascading pour was followed by a typical DIPA look with a pale and hazy body and a one finger thick foamy head. The smell of hops was prominent, but not overwhelming. Mostly grapefruit pith in the smell. The taste was strongly hopped, with the citrus taste dominant. The body was thick and sticky, and the finish very dry and spicy. Very easy to drink for a beer of this heft. Well done Harpoon.

this guy poured up with a nice fluffy head that didnt stick around too long. had a beautiful cloudy amber color.it did leave a nice lacing on the glass though.the top end smelled sweet and citrusy, nice and pungent. the flavor wasnt as sweet as the nose let on though. solid malt to hang all those hops on, yet avoided being cloyingly sweet.felt great in the mouth, nice and creamy. i thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Bottle shared. Poured clear amber orange with a big offwhte head. Aroma of caramel, citrus hops, syrupy sweetness. Taset is really resiny, fruity hops, with plenty of sweet malt to accompany. Mouth is pretty big and full. Finish is bitter. Overall, a decent imperial ipa.

Bottle - thanks dmschefke. Pours a pale, translucent orange color with a finger of creamy sand colored head. Nose is rich with citrus and hoppy sweetness. Light amount of resin, but mostly citrus sweet. Flavor is laden with hops; citrus and pine resin. Sweet, caramel, and just faint floral hops. Light alcohol burn in the tail. Lingering bitters of both floral and citrus. Very nice.
