jgb9348 (1826), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Jan 15, 2008 Session #5 Nice bright coloured deep amber body with ruby highlights throughout and a thin off-white coloured head. Aroma of deep malt and some nice light english hops - alcohol is noticeable as well with this one. Medium to Full-bodied; Sharp malty taste with nice hop flavour throughout overlayed by honey, toffee, butterscotch and some other sweet flavours. Aftertaste shows the alcohol rush around and the malt left bitter. Overall, much better than any Harpoon i’ve ever had - so worth a treat. I purchased this 65 cL bottle in some small beer shop in New Paltz, New York and sampled it on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 29-October-2005. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Maibock (Spring Maibock)
