Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Loads of sweet caramel with some sweet stone fruit and an odd vanilla soap note. A touch on the thin side of medium, some faint roast and malt. Finishes with a bit of sweetness and some light acrid bitterness. Meh.

Pours mahogony with a light tan head. Mild aroma, somewhat nutty. Flavor is similar, sweet from the toasted and caramel nut flavor. Medium body, moderately carbonated. A very enjoyable dunkel.

Bottle. Sweet, almost overly sweet nose, light chocolate with toffee. Faint berry? Dark ruby pour with a large sudsy tan head. Taste is dry and rubbery, no roast and only very faint nuts. No berry, chocolate is even fainter and edging toward licorice. Light body, no really carbonation, sort of a waxy feel on the finish and aftertaste. Earthy tone is good, very unusual off-notes are most definitely not.

pours a clear chestnut brown color with a thick and foamy light tan head...nice lacing! nice roasty aroma with some chocolate notes and subtle nuttiness. flavor definitely displays the roastiness with a niced spicy hop to it as well...chocolate notes are lost though. slightly burnt flavor in the end carries into the aftertaste...light to medium lively mouthfeel is a bit creamy...but it thins out quickly in the end...almost a watery finish with a lingering burnt aftertaste.

Pours a clear dark brown with amber tints, smallish yet sustained head, some lacing... Clean caramel and roast malt aroma, no real hoppiness, doesnt seem sweet... Clean flavors of malt, some sweetness, and a touch of bittering hops at the end, chocolate notes come out as it warms... Touch dry and watery in the finish... Worth a shot, good offering....

Aroma is roasty malt with some German chocolate. Taste is light but characteristic of a Dunkel. Nutty with lots of dark malt flavor and a brief hint of sweetness. finishes bitter and slighly damp but overall pretty nice. There aren’t too many mass market dunkels that I’m aware of so this stands out for that reason above all else.

Decent beer overall. The aroma is chocolate, nuts, brown sugar. The flavor follows exactly. the appearance is a dark brown, ruby highlights. The finish is light hop bittering, with a competing brown sugar residue as well. The mouthfeel is thin/medium, some carbonation bubbles noted. Enjoyable, and sesionable. Not bad at all.
