tbarnette (105), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Apr 24, 2005 Pours dark, tastes very good. This is my favorite Harpoon brew yet. I would purchase this separately, but was fortunate to get it in a sampler.
nathan30533 (55), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA Jan 4, 2009 Pours a very dark brown with a lite brown/white forming head. Looks creamy at first but not so smooth. Leaves a bit of a bitter taste to the mouth so I’m not all that on the palate. Good overall for me but im not the dunkel type. zach8270 (1529), Henrietta, New York, USA Dec 27, 2008 (bottle - 12 oz) Ruby red pour with a very puffy and lasting 1/4 inch tan head. Aroma is light and chocolaty with a very pronounced maltiness. Flavor is rather roasty with some hints of malt, caramel, toffee, and very light coffee. Thin bodied but pretty tasty. maugus4ever (76), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Dec 24, 2008 Poured a dark brown with a tan head and slight lacing. Chocolaty and malty aroma with a taste to match. Nice roasty flavor with a very slight hop finish. Not bad. smjohnst (202), , Pennsylvania, USA Dec 24, 2008 A decent beer but it definitely tastes like an imitation of the original. A nice lager to drink though. morrdt (557), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Dec 22, 2008 12 oz bottle, part of the Harpoon Winter Twelve Pack. Average beer, drinks easy with a bit of roasted taste, but nothing more to it than that. Has a lot of work to do to be a good beer.
