Pours deep brown with a small tan head. Slight corny sweet aroma,with just the slightest hints of chocolate. Flavor is similar but with little sweetness, and some slight bitterness. Palate is light and fairly watery with little else going on.

Jan 4, 2009 Pours a very dark brown with a lite brown/white forming head. Looks creamy at first but not so smooth. Leaves a bit of a bitter taste to the mouth so I’m not all that on the palate. Good overall for me but im not the dunkel type.

Dec 27, 2008 (bottle - 12 oz) Ruby red pour with a very puffy and lasting 1/4 inch tan head. Aroma is light and chocolaty with a very pronounced maltiness. Flavor is rather roasty with some hints of malt, caramel, toffee, and very light coffee. Thin bodied but pretty tasty.

Dec 24, 2008 Poured a dark brown with a tan head and slight lacing. Chocolaty and malty aroma with a taste to match. Nice roasty flavor with a very slight hop finish. Not bad.

Dec 22, 2008 12 oz bottle, part of the Harpoon Winter Twelve Pack. Average beer, drinks easy with a bit of roasted taste, but nothing more to it than that. Has a lot of work to do to be a good beer.
