COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Several malts, including Munich and chocolate, deliver the malty character. The delicate hop aroma is not overpowering and the Willamette hops provide a gentle bitterness which balance well with the residual sweetness.

The toasted aroma is outstanding. The flavor is equally toasted with some nutty notes and a noticeable alcohol flavor. Nice earthy hop bite and overall balance. A good seasonal.

Above average, but not great. Starts out wonderful, gorgeous dark amber color and big firm head; but the aroma is rather weak (orangey), and the smooth caramel-malt flavor is just not distinctive or strong. Ok.

Not a traditional Oktoberfest. Hoppy, nutty aroma, and a deep amber colour. Hoppy to start with mellowing malt flavours towards the finish and an overall yeasty complexity. This beer is much hoppier than a traditional marzen, which seems to leave the malt to take on a secondary role. I’m also pretty sure that this beer is brewed with an ale rather than lager yeast which doesn’t give it the smoothness that it should have. It’s not a bad beer, but I would prefer the maltiness of a more traditional interpretation.

Once again, better fresh than from a bottle.

Nice, red/copper color, clear as glass. Healthy carbonation. Heavy & flavorful malt body - complemented with bitter hops. Interesting burnt flavor in the background. Subtle, nutty nuance. Enjoyable.

Not Bad at all. Very medium amber color. Malty taste with a definite hop flavor that is almost out of place, but still not bad. Worth trying for sure.

This beer is pretty good for a Marzen. Good head and aroma.
