12oz bottle. Poured a deep golden copper with a slight head. Smell is mostly sweet malt and hint of spice and earthyness. Taste is full of caramel and malt. The body is very smooth and has good carbonation. A good octoberfest.

Bottle pours a clear copper color with a dense, foamy, off-white head. Some lacing along the glass. The aroma is a mixture of sweetness, hops, and spices. Flavor is okay, some caramel and roasted nut qualities with bitterness in the finish.

aroma reminds me of fall and leaves - similar aroma as DFH punkin. malt sweetness is evident in the nose. very slight hop bitterness in the nose. a very pleasant nose. appropriate color and appearance. flavor is not impressive. considering the nose, I would expect a lot more flavor - however, it is not bad, just not there. palate is non-offensive. overall, I have one more rate, and one more beer that I will not invest in a six pack.

12 oz bottle courtesy of mcox90. Best by 01/15/09. Pour is clear ruby golden with a 2 inch dirty white head. Head falls slow with nice lacing. Aroma grassy sweet caramel, and a pleasant mustiness. Taste is the nose, nice of grassy hay, with calm caramel sweetness and a slightly earthy finish. Palate is medium-thin, drinkable with a dry-ish finish. Bottle. Pours an amber body with a tan head. Sweet malty aroma of caramel and lager notes. Nice earthy finish in the hop character, sticky with malt. Toffee and caramel the whole way.
