Very light in color for a red ale. Small grassy aroma. Flavor is thin with a spicy rye aftertaste. I was underwhelmed.

22oz bottle from DrDogBeer. Pours cloudy red brown with a thin offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells faint malty, fruity sweet. Tastes malty and sweet, kind of bland and plain, not that great. Metallic and thin, sickly sweet malt flavors.Medium body, coats the mouth, ok carbonation.

In short: A rye-based beer with strong citrusy notes. Decent beer but kind of, you know, eh.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh day of purchase
The look: Clear amber body topped by a small but long-lasting white head
In long: Nose and taste has a lot of dried fruits. In the taste the rye is quite apparent, chewy juicy caramel and some brown sugar sweetness. The soft juicy citrusy hopping is similar to a standard session pale ale. Too-ripe citrusy flavours started coming out as the beer warmed up. Drinkable unfocussed beer that doesn’t amount to much. It’s nice that Harpoon are trying things with their 100 Barrel Series line, but this one is just that, a nice try.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. The aroma is spicy, with sweet caramel malt, toast, and hops. The flavor is floral hoppy and toasty malt. Pretty good.

22 oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a good sized off white head. A fair amount of textured lacing coats the glass. Aroma is biscuitlike and grainy with a small hop background. Taste is biscuit with a nice subtle spice background. Also, a minor hop presence. Finishes a bit on the bitter side.

22 oz. Pours a cloudy amber with a white head that lingers a little. Very hoppy aroma and flavor. Seems a bit hoppier than a pale ale, not quite as an IPA. My first sampling of a rye beer, so have nothing to compare it to, so I’ll just say it seems like a decent beer, which will get me through the night. Edit- I will say it got smoother and tastier as it warmed.... very nice, I’m giving it a couple more points.
