jjpm74 (3447), Connecticut, USA Jun 1, 2008 Pours copper with a tan head. Smells of rye, dough, some light citrus, earthy. Tastes of rye, spice, resiny, some earthiness, hints of underlying bitterness, some pepper, caramel, oranges. Palate is crisp. Finish is lightly bitter. This is an enjoyable summer beer that’ll hopefully see a regular release some day. jcwattsrugger (4087), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 22oz bottle-pours a rich to rocky light tan head that laces and amber/copper color. Nice malt. bhensonb (3138), Woodland, California, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bomber from Wine Specialty. Copper color with a decent white head. Aroma of resin hop. Medium body with nearly creamy carbonation. Flavor is roasted malt and resin hop, perhops with a touch of floral/citrus. Finish is fruity and nearly dry. This is a great ale. It is incredibly tasty. Get it. Enjoy it. Smooth and mellow. Hoppy. Bitter. Wonderful. Boutip (1855), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Aug 21, 2008 Bottle: Poured a clear red color ale with a nice foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of bitter hops with nice caramel malt profile are very well balance. Taste is also a well balance mix between some deep caramels with subtle nuts with a medium bitter hoppy finish. Body is quite full with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well done overall and easily drinkable.
