Commercial Description:
Rich Doyle, Harpoon’s CEO and co-founder, first tasted this Belgian style beer in Brugge three years ago while traveling on a Harpoon beer culture trip. He immediately fell in love with the beer and wanted to brew a batch ever since.

The Harpoon Pêche is reminiscent of the peach lambics Rich and other Harpoon employees enjoyed on their trip to Belgium. As you pour this hazy golden colored beer, you will immediately notice the fresh peach aroma rising from your glass. A high carbonation level assists in releasing the aromatics of this crisp, sparkling ale. The five malts used to brew this beer blend nicely with the fresh fruit added during fermentation, creating a sweetness that is full but not cloying or candy-like. This sweetness is balanced by the tart acidity in the finish of the beer. The combination creates an incredibly refreshing experience. This is a perfect beer for the summer and can be paired with a variety of cheeses and desserts, or simply enjoyed on its own.

Pours out golden peach color with a huge white head that takes forever to settle. Bitter slightly peach aroma. Taste is great balance of hop bitterness and peach sweetness. Not cloying, very refreshing with a clean aftertaste.

Pours a slightly cloudy copper with a giant and stubborn white head. Smells of pronounced peaches, cream, some caramel, mellow tanginess. Taste is peachy with a fairly tarte base. The malt profile isn’t as perceivable as I’d like, but there is a nice balance of peach and citrus. Mouthfeel is tarte. Finish is peppery and sweet. Above average as far as fruit beers go.

Pours bright gold into a tumbler. Bright white micro head with excellent retention. Aroma like a freshly opened peach - complete with fuzz. Upfront muted peach, quickly turning to a slightly flat and watery aspirin sour/tartness. Back to peach pit and on to a lasting, dry finish. Like a peach BerlinerWeisse.

22oz bomber: I got a shot of foam out of the top of the bottle when I opened this one. It pours with a large, white frothy head. It is a clear, pale golden color with some constant fizziness. So far, not good. The aroma is a different story, however. Slightly sour peach aroma, with some mustiness to it. A definite improvement over the appearance. Somewhat of a peach flavor, with some carbonation lingering on the tongue. Slightly bready. A nice, lighter beer for a hot day.

22oz Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a frothy off-white head. Earthy, musty peach aroma. Fruity, sweet-tart peach flavor. Finishes has some spice and is a bit metallic. Smells better than it tastes.
