This is certainly not the best example of the kolsch style. It pours a bright and light golden color with a decent-sized and layered head. There is minimal lacing around the glass, though. I didn’t mind much complexity to the nose, as the beer didn’t offer all that much character. I got a little fruit, a slight hint of hops, bread and yeast. The body is fairly light and the flavors don’t offer a whole lot of depth. Up front, the flavors are rather bland, but the body turns fruity and bready toward the finish. I taste some lemon, grass, light hops, bread, yeast, parsley and banana. This beer seems to lack any type of maltiness or depth. Unfortunately, thanks to PA laws, I purchased an entire case at the distributor. I fear that I will find myself struggling to finish it. Thankfully I have some neighbors that also appreciate the pursuit of fine craft beer. I will definitely be pawning some off on them, if for no other reason, to simply make this case disappear. I had some high hops for this beer, but I was simply disappointed.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a SA lager glass. Enjoying this about 3 weeks past the "ENJOY BY" date on the neck.
A: The beer is a light gold color with lots of carbonation bubbling and topped by a good white head that fades slowly and leaves a decent lacing on the glass.
S: The light aroma is lemony and bready, with a bit of hops.
T: Lightly flavored, as expected, but with some citrusy hop presence. Light malt base. Refreshing taste.
M: Rather high carbonation makes this very crisp; light body; finish is clean.
O: a solid Kolsch, but this style is quite light, simple and tame.

Can. A very disappointing beer. Faint hop aroma. Above average carbonation. Metallic mouth feel, slightly sweet. Astringent, acidic finish. Would not drink again.

Thank God it’s only brewed in the Koelsh tradition and isn’t actually Koelsch, because Koelsch tastes like ass. This is a great summer beer, with a light start and a nice subtly fruity aftertaste.

Pours very very light yellow with minimal head. Aroma is dominated by straw, grass and a bit of crisp hop. The palate is refreshing and crisp and overall makes for a very refreshing beer

12 oz bottle poured into a weizen glass (it was there...) Pale yellow with a thick white head on top. Nice malty flavor with little hints of lemon and alcohol. Fizzy and light mouthfeel with lingering hop bitterness. Certainly refreshing, my drinking this after a hot bike ride may have influenced my score above the average.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured. clear blond color like any commercial lager. Aroma was malty and effervescent. Tasted just like a regular lager. This beer serves it's purpose as a summer beer. For the price I'd go with the commercial brands instead.
