Odyn (140), New York, USA Jul 15, 2008 Not a bad summer beer, lovely color and pleasant nose, but lacks that all day drinkability that I look for in a summer brew. Could lead to those "second beer blues".
VeloVampire (387), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2008 12 oz bottle - poured a slightly hazy golden with a good sticky cap. Faint aroma of some herbs and a hint of corn? Flavour not bad, but not great. Refreshing, quaffable, and completely forgettable. Boutip (1769), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Aug 21, 2008 Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of medium sweet malt with the distinctive Kolsch style yeast. Taste is also a mix between some medium sweet malt with some unrefined grainy notes and the distinctive Kolsch style yeast that I have a hard time to describe. Well done and very refreshing. Eyedrinkale (3104), Beer Town, New York, USA Aug 16, 2008 Didn’t realize I haven’t rated this beer till now. I must have had 50 of these this year. The last one I had was this afternoon and it hit the spot. I rarely drink right from the bottle but this went down pretty damn easy. I like the crispness of the beer and that it doesn’t try to be something that it’s not. It’s got a fresh whole grain sweetness to it and a nice dry finish. This could easily be a year round offering for Harpoon if they renamed it. So much better than UFO & IPA. They could also work on that head retention also. dlovell2 (110), Columbia, Maryland, USA Aug 16, 2008 Light golden color with white head. Bubbly. Wheat, yeast aroma. Crisp citrusy taste. blankboy (2570), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with an average size lasting fizzy white head. Aroma: yeah, I’m not loving this: Mild with grassy hops, grain, citrus and a touch vegetal -- it’s pretty ’meh’. Watery flavour of light grassy hops, grain and light malt. Light bitter finish. Light bodied. A lot of use of the words ’mild’ and ’light’ in this rating -- even for the style it’s a bit much, it’s not bad just very bland.
