my first thought after my first sip was, "it *does* taste like kolsch!" it’s bitter, very bitter, especially for a beer that’s so thin, but it works. it’s light enough to serve as a good session brew, but with a dinstinctive flavor and a bite that i’ve found to be uncommon in a session beer.

Draft at World of Beer in Land O Lakes. Pours a crystal clear, pale golden yellow color with a thin white head. Would look like a typical macro if not for the decent sudsy lacing along the glass. Crisp and clean flavor with a bit of spice and a touch of bitterness in the finish.

Pale yellow in color, this beer offers a slight citrus aroma and taste (orange/lemon ?) as well as a grassy flavor. It has a smooth finish.

Rusty and slightly bitter. Crisp at first then rust and iron. Not an awful pilsner. But not great ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Doughy aroma with a hint of spice. Yellow lager look. Tastes bitter and almost salty. Crisp body that ends with a quick snap on the palate and is gone. A nice afternoon starter beer.

12 ounce bottle. Clear goldn and it sports a small white foam. Some grain, malt, and very soft hops are smelled. More hops are tasted than are in the aroma and they lead. This is quite robust for the style in the start. The hops make for a zesty drinking experience and grain with malt follow. Much better than feared.

Bottle. A solid Kolsch, but nothing to go crazy over. Clear gold apperance with a light bitter scent of weak quality and potency. Lemon lime fronted taste fades to bitter. The mouthfeel was light and crisp as advertised.

Originally reviewed: 5/26/10. 12oz bottle poured into a stange glass. "Best by: 7/15/10" printed on the side. Pours a clear pale gold with a large super-frothy white head on top. Great retention; left some light globs of lace behind. Scents of tart lemon zest, fresh-cut grass, and whiffs of cheap pine-scent. Not bad. The body is pretty refreshing and crisp. It’s got some thin notes to it, but overall, decent body. The flavors are pretty mellow and tame. Some grassy notes, a little citrus, a light hop finish. This was a very refreshing, simple beer. I could see this being a regular this summer.

I would have expected a bit more kolsch spice, but found it to be a smooth and drinkable lighter bodied beer. Good, but not great.
