Imagine a pumpkin vine wound its way in a field of barley, and a brewer harvested it all to make a beer. Add Northwestern hops and a blend of spices, and you’ve got UFO Pumpkin. The malt combination provides a smooth body and slightly sweet flavor, which balances perfectly with the earthy notes derived from the pure pumpkin. And like all of our UFO beers, UFO Pumpkin is unfiltered so all the wonderful flavors are right there in your glass. Cheers!

Draft at Kirby’s Pub in Ocean City, MD served in a pint glass, clear orangy-amber color with off-white head. Aroma of heavy pie spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, little clove) and some pumpkin in the roast malt sweetness. Taste brings out more pumpkin earthiness and light caramel. Light body, moderate carbonation, lively with minimal roast sweet finish. On the lighter side of pumpkin beers.

Pours from 12 oz bottle a murky orange-amber with a medium fluffy tan head. Aroma of pure, fresh, organic pumpkin guts and just-baked pie crust. Flavour is tremendously pungent, earthy nose. Medium bodied, with a somewhat crisp, somewhat loose palate. Finishes wth a twinge of corriander, nutmeg, and all-spice before melting into a pumpkiny sweetness. Smooth texture has good body and a decent amount of fizz. Save it for fall - or enjoy it now.

12oz bottle, from my local Kroger. Enjoy by 1/15/15. Half hazy orange color, with an air fizzing but thicker khaki head. Fades to a good thin amount, and eventually a minimal ring. Leaves some bits of lace. Light to medium body. Smooth light carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Solid aroma of pumpkin, lighter on the spice. Pretty good aroma to it. Moderate sweet taste, kind of spicy. Hint of tart towards the end. Solid lighter pumpkin beer.

Bottle, Enjoy by December 15, 2014.
Glass: Carton teku.
Appearance: Hazy amber/orange body with a creamy white head that has good retention.
Aroma: The aroma is of pumpkin and cinnamon primarily, semi-sweet and not bad. One of the better smelling pumpkin beers there, nicely balanced.
Taste: Mildly sweet with banana showing through with a touch of wheat, mild nutmeg, clove and cinnamon on the finish. Enjoyable as it’s mild and balanced nicely.
Palate: Creamy bodied with high carbonation.
Overall: One of the more enjoyable pumpkin beers because it’s got substance other than spices. Clove is a bit much on the finish, but I find myself recommending this due to price and quality. Worth trying.

Pours a merkey golden color with a nice white foamy head. Aroma is faint. Taste is kind of herby and fruity. A hint of spice. Not much on the pumpkin. A little watery.

A cloudy amber body with a thin white head that faded away fast. Aroma was heavy on spices mainly cloves some hints of nutmeg and a bit of orange peel. Pumpkin was a pleasantly sour note. A hint of brown sugar. Flavor had a nice blend of spices and brown sugar. It was a little more balanced than the aroma let on. Pumpkins seemed slightly earth. Easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 9-2-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – Pours a rather hazy orange amber color with a big billowy white head. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is of sweet caramel and roasted pumpkin. Mixed with these aromas are a good deal of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Overall spicy and pumpkin like. Taste - The taste begins with a rather sweeter caramel, a bit of wheat bread and more light to moderate roasted pumpkin taste. These flavors create a base for the brew with a spice flavor of cinnamon and nutmeg soon come to the tongue with the cinnamon getting stronger as the taste advances. A little bit of a citrus lemon taste joins the flavor profile at the end leaving a pumpkin and citrus sweet wheat flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thinner side for a beer of 5.9 % with a medium level of carbonation for the style. Not a bad overall feel for the brew and rather appropriate for the style. Overall- A decent pumpkin brew but nothing out of the ordinary. Easy drinking and a bit on the spicier side with a somewhat lighter pumpkin flavor overall.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper body with a small fizzy beige head that faded completely. The nose is dominated by cinnamon with some lighter pumpkin and yeastiness. The flavor is so heavily spices with cinnamon and nutmeg that it almost burns the tongue. I could go for a little more yeastiness in here, given that it’s promoted as unfiltered. Lingering nutmeg and cinnamon with some minimal pumpkin meat. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Meh, towards the bottom of the bunch as far as pumpkin beers go.
