3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Beer pours a cloudy copper color with a puffy white head that laces well. Aroma of vegetal herbs, hay, and pumpkin pie. Nice earthy pumpkin on the palate. A bit of pumpkin pie spice balanced by ale richness. No dogfish punkin or pumpking but a decent offering.

Got a 6 pack of this for $6 so Iím gonna go out on a limb and assume it was last yearís batch.
Appearance- Cloudy brown/orange with a huge white head that leaves lacing.
Smells- Pumpkin and spices
Taste- Stronger pumpkin sweetness than I was expecting. Pretty much unfettered pumpkin pie flavor. My friends thought it was too sweet but I thought it was very nice. It was one note, but it was a good note.
Mouthfeel-MEdium body and carbonated slightly.
OVerall- Pleasant surprise. Iím pretty sure that it was an expired batch and it was still good so needless to say I will buy some of this years batch. Worth a try.

Pours murky orange with a medium white frothy head. Aroma is dominated with pure pumpkin goodness, cinnamon, and a bit of nutmeg. Taste is sweet with hints of citrus, allspice, and a long lasting finish. Great fall beer

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Nice and pleasant aroma of pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Flavor starts off with a good pumpkin sweetness then moves to a spicy bitterness at the middle. Some light sweetness at the finish but a lot of cinnamon kind of takes over the finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of pumpkin and wheat notes with a little bit of clove. The flavor is similar. I get some pumpkin and wheat, but those notes are complimented by some cloves, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
THOUGHTS: Finally typing up all those pumpkin beer reviews from the fall. This one was not all that great. Not awful, but not great. It did have a decent balance between beer and pumpkin pie. The base beer wasnít that great, though. All a little boring for the style. I would have liked some wheat since was under the UFO brand.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a murky, medium, brownish orange with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma contained light, light-colored bread; ginger and other pumpkin pie spices; fruity pumpkin and something a little musty. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and slightly sour; while the finish was moderately sweet and lightly bitter and sour with a fairly short duration. There was sweet and fruity pumpkin, ginger and other pumpkin pie spices, vegetal and lightly sour pumpkin, slight caramel malt and lots of yeast, The light to medium body was sort of oily and then a little dry with tingly carbonation and a dry and slightly metallic finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Presentation: 12 oz. brown bottle with "best by" date printed on the neck. Served in a weizen glass.
Appearance: Dark gold, almost orange color, fairly cloudy. Two fingers of head that almost instantly go away. Very little lacing left behind.
Smell: Very subdued, this is not an aromatic beer. Smell is dominated by pumpkin. Thereís a hint of yeast as well.
Taste: Itís quite strong in the spice department. Lots of allspice and ginger with a nice amount of pumpkin in there. It would seem they were aiming for a pumpkin pie kind of taste and they accomplished it. Thereís yeast and malt in there (albeit very little of them) to remind you that youíre drinking a beer.
Mouthfeel: Creamy with almost no carbonation.
Overall: A nice beer but not one Iíd drink by itself. Itís something nice to have around Thanksgiving. This would go great with some turkey, stuffing, gravy, pumpkin pie, and all the "traditional" foods of that holiday.

Bottle: † Orangish straw, dark, fairly hazy, thin to moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing. † Spiced candle aroma, sure its spicy, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, but it also has that Yankee Candle waxy pumpkiny spot too. † Similar on the tongue, a bit waxy, with the spices being strong but muted. † While the spices are there, they arenít too bright. † Body and mouthfeel are moderate. † Finishes with a dull spicy background, mild sweetness, with a touch of pie crust. † Good, clean, but fairly average.

On tap at Sugarland Flying Saucer Beerfeast. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with thick white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is cinammon and spice and nutmeg. Thin mouthfeel with a strong spice and cinnamon with light roast finish. A decent spice brew from Harpoon.
