COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen is our own interpretation of the European practice of adding fruit flavors to wheat beers. We have added natural raspberry flavor to our UFO Hefeweizen to give it a delicate fruit flavor and slight sweetness. The raspberry juice adds a rich color to the cloudy, unfiltered beer, yielding a soft reddish hue. The scent of the berries mixes with the lightly hopped beer aroma. The raspberries are balanced by UFO Hefeweizen’s clean, wheat beer taste, making this beer enjoyable and refreshing.

Bottle. Intense sour, pungent, acetic raspberry aroma that dominates. A bit artificial. Moderately to mostly hazy copper-ish body with an overly fizzy, small white head that dissipates quickly. Spritzy start with raspberries up front. Amazingly, they do not overly dominate. I can definitely taste some cereal and biscuity maltiness with scant lemon flavors from the base hefe. Some more raspberries trickle in at the end. This is extremely thin-bodied and quite watery. I suppose it is a good thirst quencher in the summer. I don’t know what the fuck everyone’s obsession is with adding fruits to hefeweizen is all about, though.

Bottle: The aroma consists of tart raspberry with a hint of sweetness and and some cereal notes. It pours a cloudy orange with a one finger pink-tinted white head that quickly diminishes to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of lightly sweet raspberry. The finish has light tart raspberry, grain/cereal notes, and a touch of lemon. It’s light bodied with somewhat fizzy carbonation. Overall, I’d say it’s better than most standard fruited wheat beers...and it’s a pretty solid thirst quencher.

Raspberry beers usually taste like cough syrup, but this offers an amazing aroma, paired with a rosy color and pink head. With a slightly sour taste, the fruit come through making this a very tasty, non-benedryl like beer.

Smells like raspberry KoolAid. Light raspberry flavor. Finishes clean and dry. Overall would be nice on a hot summer day.

bottle - This one smells good with abundant raspberry aroma. It tastes sweet and fruity though the fruit flavor comes off as rather artificial. Meh. It’s okay.

12oz. Bottle: Sweet aroma of raspberry, and a hint of wheat. Poured deep orange in color with a tiny, loose, off-white/tan head that disappeared quickly. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny-sized particles throughout. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet. Tastes of raspberry, slight raspberry newton, and wheat. Light body. Slightly tingly, then slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Wheat and raspberry finish.

Better than I expected to be honest. Aroma is plenty of sweet raspberry. Taste is plenty of sweet raspberries. Sort of reminds me of a slurpee. There is also a nice solid wheat background, a nice pairing. Very balanced and crisp. I could pound down a few of these and enjoy them all. Palate a bit watery. Will buy again.

A low score for a beer that’s actually pretty nice on a hot day. Slightly hazy reddish in color. Noticable raspberry aroma. Actually pretty refreshing.

On tap at pub. Pink hazy ale with a thin white head. Smells of raspberry, tastes of citrus, raspberry and wheat. Slight acidity, reminiscent of raspberry, in the finish. Light bodied, carbonation is somewhat aggressive. Gotta give this sucker props, my girlfriend actually almost drank the pint by herself, which is quite an exploit.

From a bottle stamped Best By 04/15/12. The pour is medium amber with reddish hues and a huge head. The aroma is almost all raspberry but that is to be expected for a raspberry flavored beer. The bready malts and wheat are more subtle. Still it smells refreshing. The body is light to medium. The taste is also very raspberry in flavor with a tart lightly hopped ending. This would be enjoyable on a very hot summer day.

(Bottle) Pours golden to pale amber. The aroma holds fresh raspberries up front with some wheat and toasted barely in the background. The flavour is of raspberries with a tart dry-ish finish. Some wheat and malt to back it up. Well carbonated and a bit crisp. Light to medium bodied. Not bad and quite “authentic”.
