stangger (135), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2007 Updated: Jan 14, 200812 oz bottle, on tap at Funspot in Meredith, NH. Aroma gives off a distinct raspberry scent. Light amber pour. Feels and tastes great, the added flavoring makes Harpoon’s UFO so much better. Really underrated in my opinion. My favorite fruit beer - very smooth wheat taste with a raspberry kick throughout. blindeyedbetty (99), Arlington, Virginia, USA Jul 7, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Beautiful ruby grapefruit color as it’s poured. Small, tight white head with delicate lacing. Light berry aroma with hoppy undertones. First taste is of berry with a hoppier/wheaty middle and a zesty citrus finish. Hands down the best flavored Hefe I’ve ever tried. Not overly sweet or syrupy and you can still feel the hefe body and taste the citrus. hopswine (4), Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Dec 1, 2007 A real sparkling type Hefe. Favor not overwelming. I’m not a fan of fruit type beers but found this to be livley and refeshing. could drink this on a hot summer day. Heathen (521), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Jul 2, 2008 THOUGHTS: A really nice beer that I’ve passed by until I tried it at a party where it was the only beer among wine and liquor. A really nice summer beer that isn’t watered down.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a almost glowing, cloudy, medium pinkish orange with a small to average, white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was raspberry and wheat. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately acidic; while the finish was light to moderately sweet, heavily bitter and sour with an average duration. There was slightly sweet raspberry, wheat and a little yeast then a bunch of very tart raspberry. The light to medium body was dry with soft carbonation and a moderate to heavy astringent finish. dlovell2 (110), Columbia, Maryland, USA Jan 10, 2008 Cloudy peach color with white head. Rasberry aroma. Dry raspberry taste with slight taste of wheat and sweet finish. A fruit beer done right.
