2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
This beer is a good attempt at Belgian wit beer. The aroma is nice, the appearance itís good, however when comes to taste, this is a little lacking. Itís slightly musty tasting. Also, like most Belgian knockoffs, why the Orange slice? You wonít find an orange slice on a beer on Belgium.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
I poured a 12oz can into an official Harpoon willybecker glass. It had an enjoy by date of 10/15/13 and cost $2.50 ($0.21 per ounce).
Appearance: Dark rusty orange hue, translucent. Forms a large, white, foamy head which eventually dissipates and leaves minor lacing on the glass.
Smell: Mild aroma of orange peel, but not much else.
Taste: Wheat-based beers tend to be the most inherently refreshing beer styles, in my opinion. However, thereís no reason to make a deliberately weak wheat beer just to ensure drinkability. I think thatís what Harpoon has done with their UFO White. While not a flawed beer per se, it seems to be restrained, as the palette is overtly mild, though the drinkability is high.
The can actually makes a point of saying "Brewed with orange peel and coriander" as well as "Serve with a slice of orange," plus thereís a picture of an orange slice in the logo. Do you think theyíre trying to tell us something? Not surprisingly, orange is definitely the predominate flavor here, but even then itís not all that strong. Itís a mild orange sherbet-like taste with a touch of sweetness. There doesnít seem to be any spice presence, though. Thereís a quick burst of orange flesh right as it finishes which is nice, but too short -lived. I have mixed feelings on this beer, but I think I could honestly give it a thumbs up.
Drinkability: I was surprised by how fast I downed my glass of Harpoon UFO White. The mild taste probably has something to do with that, but the actual mouthfeel is what makes it so quaffable. Itís cold, wet and tepid, so itís quite refreshing while in the mouth. It finishes completely clean, too, which is nice. At 4.8% ABV itís easily sessionable, especially for experienced drinkers. I think this would be an ideal craft beer for beginners since itís certainly better than Blue Moon.

bottle. Hazy golden with one finger head. Mild wit with light coriander and quite a bit of citrus/orange. Could be a bit more complex, but the flavor that is there is quite nice.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle @ home, via trade with Homer321. Thanks bro! Pours a somewhat cloudy yellow orange appearance with a white head that doesnít have much retention. Spicy, orange peel, wheat, light cinnamon aroma. Coriander, vanilla, lemon/orange citrusy, wheat flavor. Carbonation is very dull in a type of beer I would expect to be pretty high. Light tartness. Not a big fan.

Refreshing, but not the best example of the style . Slightly sweet and has absolutely zero lacing with a meticulously clean glass. Would drink again if offered, but I doubt Iíll buy another 6-pack.

5/29/13. 12oz bottle from a rep... who knew I never ticked this. Iíve probably scrolled past this beer 1000 times in my life. Hazy orange pour with a fluffy off-white head. Light citrus and spice on the aroma and flavor. Meh.

Cloudy in color with a citrus nose. No head and generic white wheat beer taste. Does not stand out from other Belgiums.
