Light, crisp, refreshing UFO White follows in the tradition of spiced wheat beers that have been brewed in Belgium for well over 300 years. Brewed with orange peel and a unique blend of spices, UFO White is the perfect choice for a summer’s barbecue, a night out with friends or any time you¹re thirsting for something a little different. Like UFO Hefeweizen and UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, we leave UFO White UnFiltered for a more natural taste and appearance.

Good looking and great tasting Belgian wit. This beer is quite enjoyable. Not too much of anything.

Man, not that good. Faint to no aroma and this style usually has some great scents. Cloudy and light yellow but not in the way one expects with a wheat beer. Palate was average and light. Flavors were muted. Hints of wheat and some spice but in a light-version kind of way. They have much better beers.

Poor example of a witbier with an overly sweet citrus start that turns a little tart and funky. Finish is felt rather than tasted, which is not a pleasant experience.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a small fizzy white head. The nose is slightly fruity with some orange and coriander, light wheat, and a bit of yeast. The flavor is fairly bland, just a light orange note with minimal yeast influence and slightly sweet finish. Light bodied and kinda flat on the tongue with minimal carbonation. Pretty bland stuff, even for a Wit.

Bottle. Light orange zest, some coriander and yeast. Hazy medium yellow/straw color, thin head. Light citrusy fruitiness, coriander stands out, some wheat, and then it all fades out quickly. Thin body, near watery. Very mild and sweet.

On tap at the Vermont brewery: Pours cloudy orange with a one finger white head. Aroma of orange, lemon, bread, coriander, and Belgian yeast. Taste is sweet malt, lots of orange juice, spice, and bread. Overly sweet for a white, and too much fruit. Light to medium body, it’s okay.

Transfer from 3-14-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a hazy orange-yellow colored brew with a tiny white head that fades very rapidly. Upon fading almost no lace is left on the sides of the glass Smell – The nose is quite sweet and citrus with heavy aromas of orange and lemon. Mixed with these smells are aromas of wheat bread as well as some aromas of some spice of coriander and nutmeg. Taste – The taste begins with a good dose of wheat and a more lemon citrus taste that gives is a sour sweet flavor upfront. As the taste advances some flavors of orange sweeten it up some with other spice flavors of a coriander flavor as well as some yeast flavors coming to the tongue. While these sweeten the flavor, it is only temporary as soon more bitter/sour comes to the tongue in the form of lemon and some grapefruit hop flavors. These take the taste to the end where they are joined by a bit more spice of both nutmeg and coriander, leaving a sweet and sour citrus flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average to actually slightly chewier side for the lower abv and the style with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly above average side. The slightly chewiness takes away from the easy drinking character of the brew in some ways, but actually is not too bad for the wheaty and citrus flavors of the brew. With the higher carbonation making up for the chewier body (in terms of taking away its crispness), it is surprisingly a good combination for the tastes of the brew. Overall – A fairly decent wit. A little more bitter and sour then most, which I actually like, and with the slightly chewier body it makes for a quite nice drink.
