The beer pours a light brown with amber highlihgts with a light tan head that has ok retention and lacing. The aroma is very light giving off some notes of chocolate, rye and a little sweet garlic at the end. The taste is really pretty boring, it starts off like an average amber ale and only at the very end do you get a little garlic.

Draft @ EBF. Not sure why i tried this to be honest, pours orange with some light head. Some spices and nutty and caramel like malt notes, perhaps a hint of garlic, not a fan.

Haha i just laughed my ass off reading Peters review. Pours an orange body with a white head. Nutty with caramel an uncharacteristic limey note, bread y faint spiced tones, but more bread y then any particular spice. I think a consensus was reached before this was sampled that cigar city should obv be brewing this and not Harpoon, a laughable attempt, none the less a decent brown ale. My rating is for the beer disregarding what the final product aimed to be.

EBF 2010 Session One: Hazy deep copper with a tan film of head. Lame caramelly aroma with some diacetyl. Where’s the garlic? Light body some caramelized barley and toasted notes as well. Has a hint of peppery (Noble?) hops on the back. Garlic? If I had this beer in the presence of a Vampire, I’d be as good as dead.
