Flavor of bananas, sweetness and some wheat. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and gentle carbonation. This is true to the 100 Barrel Series, which is not a compliment. Nate (2291), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 7, 2008 From bottle. Raw wort with light caramel. Bit of vanilla and some light fruity hops. Touch of oaky character. Radiant golden amber, dark with thin off-white lacing head. Medium heavy watery body with medium carbonation. Smooth with alcohol warming. Starts sweet with smooth raisin, oak, and vanilla. Warming plum and brown sugar. Light neutral bitterness at the finish with smooth after. Nice quaff but not what I’d call a typical Weizenbock.
