jstraw (750), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 4, 2009 Clear darker red-amber with fair, fizzy tan head / Sweet nose of caramel, nutmeg, and cloves / LIght body, sweet and matly, watery with fizzy carbonation, with fair finish / Flavors of sweet, burnt sugar, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon / Simple and soda pop-like. halfonit (415), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Oct 24, 2009 I liked this one. Has a clear amber color. Aroma is of cinnamon, spices, cloves, and a little citrus. Taste is basically the same. Has a pleasant holiday spiced aftertaste. An overall pleasure to have had. Thank god for the winter brews. I love this time of year! LarvalChemist (29), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Sep 17, 2009 Poured copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty with a subtle hop bite.
Flavor is subdued. Malty backbone with hints of spices--cinnamon is certainly apparent. Finish is short and relatively clean with only a slight lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and a little watery. Overall an alright beer. Nothing earth shattering here. DJMonarch (5966), Northwich, Cheshire, England Aug 14, 2009 Updated: Nov 2, 20091. Carbonation. Spicy aroma. Amber golden coloured and very spicy cinnamon flavour with a little dryness in a crisp lasting malt finish.

Some carbonation. Very spicy aroma. Amber coloured strong in alcohol and a little rich on the palace with spicy cinnamon and nutmeg flavours. Dry and lasting finish. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Jul 27, 2009 2005 Vintage
12/06/2007: Harpoon Winter Warmer smells like an oatmeal cinnamon raisin cookie in a bottle! There are also hints of nutmeg and oxidation in the aroma. I also get some Drambuie-like spice as well. This beer pours a clear, deep golden color (like dark honey). Gingerbread and cinnamon come through the most in the flavor and it has a dry, powdery finish. The beer has a medium-light body, is a bit thin, but is very smooth and drinkable. It is like Christmas cookies in a bottle!
12 fl. oz. bottle () shared by Peanut at the Dilly Deli in Mariemont, Ohio. Thanks! Rating #466 for this beer.
fitch256 (26), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jul 26, 2009 This one seems to fit into the category of hate it or love it. I’m one who loves it. It pours a deep amber color and gives off a spicey aroma. The taste mirrors that of a christmas cookie almost, making it a perfect winter beer. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 29, 2009 Source:12 oz bottle from a six pack.
Glass:English pint.
Appearance:Clear red pour with a small off white head.
Aroma:Spices with caramel and toffee.
Flavor:Caramel malt, with a strong presence of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Palate:Medium body with solid carbonation.
Overall:Don’t care for these types of beer for the most part. This one was good for the style.
matthasson (57), Pennsylvania, USA Jun 19, 2009 Literally smells and tastes like Christmas. Very strong spicing of nutmeg and cinnamon dominate the flavor. Goes great with dessert, otherwise a little too spiced up.
