Jan 6, 2009 Pours from a 12 fl. oz. bottle. 2008 edition. I am struck immediately by the overwhelming aroma of something spicy almost akin to clove or Allspice. The description says nutmeg but it does not seem as sweet as that to me. Decent copper-amber color. Medium mouthfeel. I have a friend who will not drink any craft beers except this one when it is available. Overall, a good experience.

Jan 2, 2009 Pours a copper/amber color with a white forming head. The cinnamon is just a little much to say the least. Smell of cinnamon, taste of cinnamon. Palate is smooth at first but then leaves a lasting taste to the mouth. OK, not my style.

Dec 30, 2008 12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a diminished white head. Ginger and cardemomme densely spiced aroma. Solid spiced in the flavour too with the same ingredients. Has a mild roasted to vague smoked note. Medium dry and somewhat perfumed spiced. Ginger bitter into the finish.

Dec 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a nice reddish copper color with a decent sized tan head. Aroma is of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, clove, and faint nutmeg.
Flavor of cinnamon and nutmeg, tastes almost like a spiced pumpkin ale. A nice winter but a little thin and toned down.

Dec 29, 2008 Pours a dark clear copper red color with a touch of amber. A small fizzy light beige head that disappears after a few seconds. Aroma has some cherries and spice with gingerbread and vanilla. Definite brown sugar and gingerbread flavor with what tastes like a little bit of... tomato? Medium to heavy body. Ok, but not great.

Dec 28, 2008 I just had this beer for the first time since 1997. It is GREAT to see this beer available again. The cinnamon and nutmeg really compliment this beer well. This is my favorite Harpoon beer still, unless I find one better. I am still working on drinking all of them. This one is a MUST have!

Dec 20, 2008 Pours a nice amber with a small off-white head. Cinnamon and nutmeg aroma is very festive, and the taste matches it well. It was more heavily spiced than I expected, but I enjoyed this warming winter brew.

Dec 18, 2008 By the aroma, you could be forgiven for thinking this is a pumpkin ale: aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, pie crust. Overall, very pleasing, though. Appearance is reddish brown. The flavor is sweet, mainly brown sugar, cinnamon, some spiciness. The finish is a lingering spicy aftertaste, with some degree of warming. Not a classic, but not bad at all.
