Pours a burnt orange with lacing. Aromas are big sweet bananas. Similar flavours. Smooth and full bodied. Nice!

This was a nice sweet fruit malty dubbel. Pretty typical for the style, which is a good thing here. Nice.

On tap at moot-i. Aroma is dried cherries, apples, fig, and ripe banana. Very ripe banana, actually, somewhere between fermented and a gracious rotting. It works, but lacks a good bite. Standard amber in color, hews toward orange. Taste profile is similar to the fruits described above. Not very concentrated up front, finishes stronger with a touch of alcohol. Weirdly soda-esque palate. Pretty good overall, but not my jam tonight.

Tap at The Local. Pours dark with some malt aromas. Flavor is fruity with raisins and an almost apple taste. Very interesting and pretty tasty.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 EHopper (575) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 22, 2012
Wow, nice dubbel from this local brewer. Not sure if it is bubble gum or cotton candy, but there is lots of it, good spice and some dark fruit, a bit of that barnyard I love. Cant wait for another.

Tap at moto-i. Clear reddish brown pour with a nice cream head. Nose is spice and dark fruit. Palate is a bit thin. Taste is nut, spice, a bit of banana, and a touch of dried dark fruit. Good not great.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mattyb83 (733) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 10, 2012
Tap. Hazy maroon color with no head. Didn’t really see what the bartender did when pouring it. Big fruity aroma. Lots of raisins, toast, Dark brown sugar, and a spicy character. Taste is unbelievably spice forward. Clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. It can be a bit overpowering. Not as much fruit, but there still is plenty of sweet sugar. A little thin. Not the best offering from this brewery.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 badgerben (4253) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Minnesota Winterfest 2012. Dark brown color with a small head. Strong banana aroma, like a hefeweizen yeast. That does not disappate in the flavor. Light caramel malt.

Nice label--the first that I’ve seen to integrate the interior of an abbey church. Decent beer, with a big bubblegum flavor, plenty of fruit, some fresh and some dried, and warming into a drinkable American spin on a Belgian. (on tap at the Happy Gnome, St. Paul, MN)

Poured a nice dark brown color with a short white head. The Belgian yeast flavor comes through quite a bit.
