very sweet, with strong lemon citrus notes, mild hops punch, with a bit more of the hops flavor in the aftertaste. a bit too sweet for my taste, but not a bad summer brew.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Looks lagerish with a thin film of head across the top. A sort of musky aged smell to it remiscent of pilsener malt. Not a great deal of hop character at all. Flavours more of the same: malt driven, wet and coldish. Not great, but not bad either.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft. A light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as hints of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, and alcohol. A very simple beer - hence boring.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours pale gold with a lasting head.
Nose is grassy and spicy with hints of bready malt. Pretty plain, and there’s also a vegetal note in the background.
More malt shows as a flavour, mainly bready. Very sweet with practically nothing in the way of balancing bitterness. Again, notes of corn and cooked vegies detract from the experience.
Carbonation could be higher.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle. So clear you can read through it. Amber and honey in colour topped with a snow white blanket of foam. Aromas of plums and cherries with a mild bitterness and softness on the palate. Easy to drink and would cut through the spiciness of a hot curry nicely.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale yellow beer creating an enormous head when poured. Sweet bready aromas, maybe a little caramel too. Can’t really detect any hop action at all here. Taste is sweet, no bitterness. Rather dull to drink.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500 ml bottle
Aroma: moderately yeasty with the smell of bread.
Appearance: Pale clear and golden. Frothy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a modicum of lacing.
Taste: Sweet, mildly so without being cloying. No real sense of bitterness but an undertaste of sourness and a wee bit salty, just a touch.
Palate. Light to medium bodied, thinly creamy, carbonation is like a glass of Alka Seltzer that sat out too long. Finish is short and yeasty.
Overall: Nice, not memorable, better than a lot on tap here but I can see it going with spicy foods as advertised.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Crystal clear rich golden hue, nice fluffy white head but it quickly diminishes. Aroma is predominantly nice honey, with a bit of cereal and passion-fruit and faint pine. Flavour is medium-heavy honey sweet but not cloyingly so. Medium body - more than any other lager I have had, texture is initially creamy becoming almost syrupy.
One of the best pale lagers I have had, would be even better with more hops presence. Went well with a Thai curry

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml Bottle. Soft clear golden but not alot of head - could be my 2nd hand glass. Graing sweet aroma, soft talcum powder too. More grain, a touch of maltmeal and some honey. Nice sweetness in the malts. Spritzy carbonation. Surely the best NZ curry lager on the market at the moment...?
