Golden lager which hits the spot without being spectacular. Low malts and a little sweet.

Tap @ Pomeroy’s. Nice amber colour. Fine palate, a bit of sweeterness, light bitterness, a good beer

Bottled. A golden beer wtih a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as a lighter note of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and hops, leading to a quite bitter finish.

Bottle, drank as part of a Harrington’s lager night. I was surprised to find that this had a hoppier nose than the Rogue Hop. Malts are similar, hops are nicer, bit of subtle citrus in there, balance is a bit better. Not bad for a lager, and I’d agree that it fits a "premium" standard.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 sdriessen (320) - Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 29, 2009
Grassy, almost skunky nose. Floral hops, hints of passionfruit and apple. Slightly metallic.
Flavours being sweet and malty with tones of peach and herbs, then change into a grassy hops with a pleasant citric bitterness.
Finishes dry.
Initial sweetness is a bit cloying, but otherwise, quite standard. Refreshing.

Bottle, ridiculously lively out of the bottle. Once the head subsides enough to get a bit more in the glass, it settles to a light and bright gold with plenty of carbonation. The aroma has a lemony cirtus, but is also somewhat skunkish. An overwhelming amount of carbonation in the mouth that reminds me why I don’t drink lager. There is some bready malt on the palate, and the finish does have a refreshing bite with a touch of citrus. Bad start, got better, but alas still not great.

640mL Bottle. Mild hop aroma. Pale golden beer, with a average white - relatively short lived head. Decent Lager. Tastes like an "overseas" lager with the hop/malts. Kinda similar to Steinlager with a overseas taste.

(Plastic handbottle from the brewery 130 cl) Clear, pale golden with a tall, dense, white head. Aroma of malt and some flowery hops. A little thin in the body, notes of malt and brewing cereal - perhaps even brewing syrup - but also a whiff of flowers. Lightly hoppy finish. Very quaffable and completely harmless. 260108
