It pains me to see that the worst rating ever goes to a Hobbit beer, double the pain that it goes to a stout, and tripple the pain that this is a Christchurch beer. Shame on Harrington’s for producing such a sloppy brew. Even the debatable "Sobering Thought" would be ashamed to admit any kinship. This Hobbit Stout Lite looks like watery coke poured from a machine. The flavour is watery, sweet and sickening. I could not even finish half a glass. Poor J.R.R. would be insulted, and certainly not a single pub across the shire would dare to serve this "stout".
My only hope is to try UAE’s "Barbican" and give it a lower rating.
