OJB (22), Dunedin, New Zealand Sep 11, 2007 The colour was pale amber gold, and there was a light head. The aroma was strong fruit and ginger coriander. The taste had strong spicy ginger, and there was a crisp light hoppy finish. This was a quite fresh beer with strong fruit, and it was quite crisp.
TheGrandMaster (1451), Auckland, New Zealand Jul 30, 2008 Bottle, pours a hazy light gold with a large white foamy head. Strong aroma of ginger and cordial. Spicy, but thin palate. Ginger, lemon, apple and raisin flavours, but with cardboard malt in the finish. Not for me - do others really like it that much? Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 12, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Cloudy, pale golden with a small, white head. Aroma of honey, ginger and oranges. Medium body with rather sweet fruits and honey and also some ginger. Ends fairly dry. Actually quite balanced and refreshing - and very summery. 040208 Plimmer (243), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 4, 2008 Golden, slightly green very hazy body with a small head. Fruity aroma with ginger. Citrus and ginger in the taste. Small and plenty of boubles. Citrus and ginger aftertaste makes a very light feeling. bozoNZ (361), Christchurch, New Zealand Jan 27, 2008 500ml bottle. A rocky white head sits atop a clear pale straw yellow brew. Large fresh almost ginger ale type fragrance with contrasting flavours. Biting dryness, spices and definately the Elderflowers though I would have almost said dandylions. It’s an eclectic, different pick-n-mix type brew - I’ll go out on a limb and suggest that while many won’t, I think it’s not too bad... Stew41 (878), Caulfield, Australia Oct 24, 2007 Perhaps a bit harsh in my comments but this is a fairly pedestrian golden ale style. Well constructed nevertheless. Light malts, faint honey, and a nice elegant spice finish. Not miles away from Coopers Pale and Sparkling, at least to my tastes.
