Commercial Description:
An Americanized version of a Belgian fruit beer. We mix blueberry's natural flavor with rich malt sweetness derrived from a mix of wheat and malted barley.

cloudy yellow, frothy white head, nice lacing. aroma of blueberries and hint of grain. flavor of blueberries, malt, grain. kind of watery mouth-feel, with a bitter-tart finish. kind of frizzy. fruit beers are not an endeared variety to me.

On tap at the brewpub: This was a hazy dark straw in body with a bubbly head. Way too strong on the blueberry, one of the few fruits that I do not care for, and an artificial aroma and flavor to boot. It took quite a while to stop burping this stuff up.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Orland Park, Illinois. Hazy dark yellow pour with a great foamy head, pronounced nose of baked blueberry muffins, wheaty and sweet but the blueberries are not overpowering the flavor very quaffable and refreshing. ! I continue to be bewildered at the low ratings for this place by some of my collegues here.

some fella from indiana poured this for me at DLD. i dont even know why i’m bothering to rate it, except perhaps that i had it early and remember it well. it sucked. i remember pretending it was good and the blueberry wasn’t artificial tasting. it actually kinda was, and the beer was totally uninspired otherwise. hardly any flavor, probably 3-4% in alcohol. this is the closest thing to water I had that day.

Once you taste the obviously artificial blueberry syrup (and recoil from the heavy hand at work when adding it to the brew) you will have great difficulty finishing a pint of this stuff. I drank it to the last drop, but I’m a moron.
