dm9831 (706), Monee, USA Aug 15, 2008 dark brown body, slight tan head, some lacing. aroma of sweet malt, chocolate. creamy, sweet taste, too reminiscent of guinness for me. medium bodied, sweet finish. too sweet for me. gws57 (1003), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jun 5, 2007 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Orland Park, Illinois. Pour clear brown, with a thick tan head, a nice hoppy nose, but finishes very alcoholic with little intermediate taste. A bit of peanut and malt and that’s it. Pretty mediocre. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 18, 2006 Clouded and mahogany-amber in color with a sun glowing, creamy tan head riding on top. Cocoa butter and shay butter meet with aromatic rhythms, running alongside caramel cubes and honey almond cereal basking in heavy cream. Flavor aspires to light colored hazelnuts, stirred into bleached brown sugar. Honey oat bread becomes the leading flavor lady all the way. Keeling bran sways with a grainy, whole wheat biscuit fuse while flavor hop fuggles hint at a mild bitterness on its way out. Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Mar 24, 2006 A murky brown concoction with a tan ring for a head. "What do you think of it?" asked the mixologist. "You’ve served it too cold for me to smell or taste." "This is going to be one of our regulars now," she happily told me. A while later, I wished I’d drank it ice cold. The malt tasted old and used. Slightly sweet, there was a splash of chocolate and dried fruit. Finishes watery. "What’d you think?" the mixologist asked. "Thanks, " I said, leaving a tip and walking out of the bar.

Harrisons Brewing Company, Orland Park, IL
frankenkitty (1834), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jan 23, 2006 This beer was brown and unfiltered to the point of looking like chocolate milk in the dark bar. Topped with a small but thick, creamy head. A friend of mine suggested that it looked like an iced coffee with a splash of cream. Aromas were weak but milk chocolate was detected amidst other malts. Flavor was chalky chocolate with prune in a highly carbonated mouth. It held my interest enough that I ordered another pint.
