dm9831 (706), Monee, USA Oct 18, 2008 hazy yellow, bubbly white head, some lacing. aroma of wow!! raspberries. flavor is raspberries, grains, mostly raspberries. palate is frizzy, sweet, fruity finish. i don’t like fruit beers and this one doesn’t disappoint. gws57 (1003), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jun 5, 2007 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Orland Park, Illinois. Pours a cloudy, dark yellow color with a pervasive thick white head, nose of baked bread and raspberry jam, lightly wheaty with lots of breadiness and fruitiness. Tart in the end. Pretty good. kyleg (3), USA does not count Mar 13, 2007 The fruity flavor has been toned down from past years, but it doesn’t make it more enjoyable to drink. DrnkMcDermott (1597), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Oct 14, 2005 Draft sampler. Well, there’s certainly raspberry here, but what else. A Belgian would be inherently fruity in taste, and just adding an overwhelming flavor like raspberry would just blow it away. Cloudy like a wit, no doubt, and as I go through the sampler while writing this, I am starting to pick a bit staled hops taste that I wouldn’t expect. Bland, but certainly no disaster. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 26, 2005 Lightly hazy and pale yellow in color with some rising bubbles. Aroma consists of strawberries, raspberry jam and rose tea. Flavor ensues with a sugary charge. Lemon bite in a small sense and something suspiciously familiar with raspberry flavored seltzer water. Better than expected, for what it’s worth.
