muzzlehatch (4429), Burlington, USA Jul 2, 2004 Sample at the brewpub. Dark reddish-brown, rich and thick-looking, lasting head. Dry biscuity flavors follow a big malty, slightly herbal nose...apples and dark, baked fruits make subtle appearance towards the finish. Could be fuller; still the best sample by far. Cornfield (4412), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Oct 26, 2004 Updated: Jul 5, 2005This poured a nut brown color with a light tan head and lively carbonation. Not a bad malty aroma. Has kind of a fruity, malty taste. The bitterness from the hops only tap you at the finish.

Harrisons Brewing Company, Orland Park, IL
StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Sep 26, 2005 Transparent and magnifying amber with a tan wrung for the head. Caramel, honey roasted peanuts, hops and rye give it a snappy nose. Munich malts make their presence known, churning a whole wheat bread persona. Caramel, wheat, peat and rye provide the rest of the flavor fillers. Seemingly an Irish Red by all means except the ingredient list. JoeM500 (1877), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA May 20, 2002 Very slight grassy hop aroma from a headless reddish pint. Watery palate and quite plain taste. A hint of hops at the end, but not enough to make me want to finish the glass. frankenkitty (1834), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 21, 2005 A clear, deep copper with an ecru head. Caramel malt aromas under piney hops. Rounded flavor, albeit a little weak. Fizzy mouthfeel with an astringent finish.
