Looking at the other reviews, this is much different than last year. I’d be inclined to say that they poured the wrong beer, but I was sitting directly in front of the taps as it was pulled. This year’s offering is golden as opposed to brown, topped with little more than a white ring. Weak aromas are a little milky, and my guess was that this was a lager. Light nuttiness in the flavor with a touch of bitterness from finishing hops, but nothing extra special. Gassy to finish, but not too bad overall.

On tap at Harrison’s Brewing Company, Orland Park, IL 60462
Yeah, it looks like a pepsi...but it also tastes like an old flat pepsi. Where is the winter warming, the flavor and aroma, the alcohol, the finish, the soul? Sorry... I can’t find any of them.

This looked like I was handed a pint of Pepsi, but the rich sweet malt and roasted malt aromas told me differently. Slightly watery mouthfeel, but well carbonated nonetheless. It’s got some decent roasted malt and caramel flavors with perhaps a hint of alcohol, although I’m unaware of the abv. Nice dry finish with a snap of hop bitterness at the very end.

Harrisons Brewing Company, Orland Park, IL
