Cask, Hinckley Fest 08. Black with a beige foam. Aromas are earthy, roast bitter with molasses. Light liquorice and soy. Flavours are roast malts with sour berries. Grapefruit with a dry woodiness. Very dry on the finish. Probably not in the best condition.

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Very dark brown beer with disappearing head Quite oily with liquorice throughout. Quite nice juicy dark malts. Slightly oily but I quite like it.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham, and hence not retired at all. Stout? Porter? I wasn’t sure. Nice though, with a smooth choc flavour, and a beige head, which I always enjoy. Good stuff.
